Can HBO make Williams a draw???

I honestly don't think beating Pavlik will make Williams a star because hardly anyone outside of Youngstown know who Pavlik is. i digress. to become a star, you have to..... A) fight in a city where you have the total support if the city and/or B) beat big names and/or C) have an exciting, crowd pleasing style and/or D) have a personality that either makes a lot of ppl love you, or make a lot of ppl hate you. i think you need 2 of those things tho. paul williams has an exciting fighting style, but what he's missing is the "home" city, the big names, and he's not very charismatic either. i agree A and b is whats holding him him back. he has the rest though. If you're not gonna give Williams any credit for his win over Wright, then you need to not give Cotto any credit for his win over Mosley. It's only fair. And Williams despite his flaws is willing to fight anybody despite Goosen's stubborness with the Pavlik situation. Anybody who hates on him for no reason is not a boxing fan. well i guess i made history the lol. cotto was established as a star before the beatings and why? he's from a place that has a fan base. same goes for juanma but hbo televised his next fight against a champion and he looked impressive so the beating he took from mtagwa will be forgotten as long as he keeps on wining. paul has a bigger hill to climb cuz he doesnt have a fanbase and there aint any stars to shine against outside of mosley, floyd, cotto, or pac. pavlike has lost his starpower imo so who else is out there? ill give paul credit though he will fight anybody anytime.

Is Paul Williams not a warrior who wont fight anybody? His fan base will come. A huge KO over Cintron will do that. So will Pavlik.yes hes a warrior who will fight anybody and if those 2 things happen then your probably right.

Actually, I have seen alot of his fans go into hiding cause of that fight..... A rematch needs to happen. I just re-watched that fight last night, and I must say, to the unbiased eye, Paul got punished....I did have it a draw, but folks try to make it seem like Paul won tons of rounds. HBO does that. I dont think they are trying to market him for one city. Hes a rare fighter that they are promoting everywhere. Hes going to dominate Cintron. If he can get Pavlik or Martinez that will go a long way. f--- cintron. he's got business with martinez i'd like to see settled first. if he beats martinez, more convincingly this time, that will take him a long way, and only helps his argument when demanding 50-50 from pavlik.
