If they were to fight today who wins? I know style makes fight but i was a bit curious why this fight didnt happen last year when the fight was in talks. Looking at both fighters style and present situation who do you see winning this fight.
Clottey goes off the boil quite a bit and when you don't do much against Mosley, he can really wind up right hands and swarm all over you. Shane on points, but it'd be a hard fight

style-wise Clottey should have an advantage, he has the similar style to Wright, but his work rate and jab don't compare. Mosley by D.
It would be an interesting fight but Mosley would most likely win. Clottey would be able to be fairly effective but he would find a way to lose no doubt. He would just not do enough to deter Mosley and he would most likely let the fight slip through his fingers once again.
Clottey is a good fighter but to me he has never shown me that he really has what it takes mentally to defeat a fighter that really wants to win and has some ability. It has almsot nothing to do with physical ability it has to do with the mental side of things and that is hard to change.
Yeah, good point. Even though Clottey is tough, he just doesn't seem able to get past that last "hurdle" that will let him finish and dominate. I was kinda surprised to hear his statements after his fight with Cotto. And during the fight he was whining quite a bit. Then he did nothing but complain about how he's always getting robbed, and lifes not fair...lol. :purity:
After the Cotto fight interview, i thought he should pursue a career in acting. Look where it got Dwayne Johnson..."The Rock"!

Hi Dom...wanna put 500k on Clottey? I got grandpa Mosely...lol.
Sorry i responded to soon and got my fights mixed up. With all the fights getting cancelled, I'm not sure of who the hell is fighting who anymore.

It would be a close fight though... it is simply hard for me to go with Clottey because until now he always found a way to loose... Mosley lost his share of matches too but he also won big ones...
Clottey though has the skill to beat him but needs to put his head into this
It's gonna be some back and forth exchanges, but Shane won't be landing no where near as accurately as Clottey. Unlike Pacquiao/ Mayweather, Shane is gonna be right in front of Clottey after throwing his punches. Shane is the kind of opponent Clottey feeds off of. Plus Clottey can box, and we all know Shane struggles against good boxers. Clottey also has the durability to make the finish line. Look at Cotto's jab for example, Shane's jab doesn't compare to Cotto's. In fact Shane has one of the worse jabs, it's a 3-4 inch jab that he loves to leave out there; used to set up the overhand right (Which isn't gonna land on Clottey). I'm really confident in saying, Clottey U.D.
Jro, here is my analysis :D
WOW Dom... I have to disagree... This quite interesting A Floyd thinking Pac opponent would beat Floyd opponent. And, a Pac fan thinking Floyd opponent would beat Pac opponent... This might be the first time this has ever happened... But, I think Shane decisions him.. I think Shane is overall the better fighter... I think Clottey will find a way to lose the fight...
JR am leaning towards a Clottey win myself and thats the reason i actually made the thread, style-wise i see Clottey doing the samething that bother Mosley in the Winky fight (The pee-ka-boo style).
I'm gonna be real here, Clottey beats SSM by U.D.
