Keep in mind that the undercard featured John Duddy, Pawel Wolak and Maureen Shea, three big ticket sellers in the area. To say Miguel Cotto brought in 14K by himself is misleading.
Ohh common he did it by himself, give the dude some credit. I didn't see a big crowd when those mofos were fighting and when Cotto fight came up the crowd whent nuts with their pr flags and all that shit, same thing against Clottey. He pretty much got over 18K against a guy casual fans had no ****ing idea who he was. Dude holds the MSG record for boxing attendence with over 20K.

I bet John Duddy, Pawel Wolak and Maureen Sheat got all those mofo people there to watch them train. Give me a break, what a joke:lol1:
Timothy Bradley has the potential to be a big draw. If he can beat Alexander, Maidana and Khan (after he makes his name known in the states) then he'll definitely be a big draw.
Cotto is #3 and IMO is not even debatable. I mean the dude got almost 14K to watch him fight Michael Freaking Jennings! Floyd got less than that against Marquez and many in boxing strugle to fill a ballroom.

Gamboa, Williams, and Alvarez.
Williams fought Winky Wright in front of an empty crowd. I don't think you can call him a draw. Gamboa too, he hasn't even been a main event on a big card yet.
Regionally, Kelly Pavlik is a big draw with the right opponent. So too is Adamek, if the fight is in NJ or Chicago.

That was then...
Even after two loses he still the 3rd biggest draw in boxing. Not many guys in the states can put over 18K butts in seats to watch a boxing match. Watch how his fight with Foreman is sold out this june and you will find out how big of a draw this guy really is.

Hatton might have a huge fan base in the UK but in the states were they actually count the PPV numbers Cotto rapes his ass.
Just check Cotto-Pacquiao PPV numbers and Hatton-Pacquiao PPV numbers.
Cotto is the 3rd biggest draw in boxing RIGHT NOW. Besides Manny and Mayweather his ppv buys are next best and he has a huge fan base.
In the future I think Lopez and Gamboa will be top two.

i dont think its mosley. cotto and hatton are out. so who?
you will never find the likes of floyd and manny pacquiao in one night fight,it takes years to find another superstar in boxing after pac & floyd.
Alvarez seems like he will unite the Mexican audience big time.
Lopez and Gamboa are both already climbing the ranks, but they still got a hell of a long way before they are certified like Floyd and Manny. Khan will always be huge in Britain but I'm not sure his dull personality and what could potentially turn out to be boring fighting style might turn American audiences off him.
Don't forget Floyd and Pacquiao have spent a whole decade building their names. You don't just become a star overnight in this PPV era.
