The Ring Super Middleweight rankings just made me LOL

I think the biggest joke is having Bute Number 1. Fair enough I think it is having Sakio Bika ranked higher than Arthur Abraham.

Those are good rankings. Perhaps Kessler at 5 over Dirrell (even though Andre actually clearly beat Froch) but at least they make sense. Right now the rankings are Bute Ward Froch Kessler Bika with Abraham at 6 and Dirrell top 10. A sham. I think the biggest joke is having Bute Number 1.

you are not understanding what I am saying. I believe Williams is a top five middle, but not based on what he has accomplished at middle. His victories at WW and SWW are important factors in how he is rated at middle, in accordance with his victories at middle. However, the same creedednce should be given to Abraham, who was a top rated middle, moved up and won against a rated SMW, yet does not recieve the respect in the ratings for it. Right buy Williams fights at Middle are not enough to warrent him a top three ranking based on the standards that the Ring set for supermiddleweight. What I am saying is that although I agree Williams is a top three middle, I also believe that Abraham is a top three SMW. Both guys essentially made their careers (in regards to facing prominent fighters in leigitmate fights) at other weight divisions, yet moved up and defeated legitimate fighters at their current weight. Williams has had 16 fights at Middleweight. Hes 16-0 and there. GBP heavily influences the rankings. The Top 5 P4P are GBP Affiliated fighters: 1. Pac 2. Mayweather 3. Mosley 4. Hopkins 5. look at his record though Martinez, Wright and Kolle are his only recent fights at 160, and before Mathysse he was not a relevant fighter. Name your top 5 Middleweights.

Bro Jack Dempsey was the first Ring Champ back 1924... And, then other fighters like Harry Greb, Mickey Walker, Benny Leonard, Pancho Villa etc etc... won the belts too... And, they ranking policy... But, they did stop like 1992 or something like that cuz the Magazine was going bankrupt... However, after all the disgraceful sanctioning rankings... The Ring decided to bring the championship policy back... But, really The Ring is older than any of the major 4 belts... All true but the Ring title is inconsistent in the time frames it has represented, some of the best fighters ever have not held the ring title.

First off, mosy of Williams fights have been at welterweight. His two fights at middle were against unranked Martinez (he was ranked at 154) and Winky Wright. . Paul Williams is 16-0 at Middleweight.

He beat Winky Wright at MW!!!! 2.I never Said that, divisional rankings are not about who is the better fighter, is about who you beat, when and how. 3. I he could be rank and he cant be ranked. Your concept about divisional rankings is fine, but only if the rating body holds true to that throughout their rankings. For example, they have Manny the number 1 welterweight, who has defeated Cotto and DLH, both who were ranked behind Mosley, who was the number 1 ranked before Manny beat Cotto.

But it seems the Ring is strictly following the concept (except the P4P) while others are not.. if you want to be no.1 beat the no.1. if you want to be no.9 beat the no.9 (unless your higher).. I feel they have the best ranking, ever.. Well that is not true. Manny is the number 1 welter and did not beat the number 1 previous welter in Mosley. Bute is number 1 SMW and did not beat the number 1 SMW.
