At 1:03 into this video. Shane lifted his hands and surrender and backed down. Meanwhile Floyd shoves his finger in Shanes face. When Floyd said I play basketball with you. He was basically saying I know Shane and Shane aint built like this so dont try to show out in front of the cameras.
Yeah I also was pissed when Kellerman didn't let him finish, I really wanted to hear what he was going to say to Shane in his face. But did anyone make out what Bernard was saying? I could only make out the part where he says "you're not the greatest, Ali is the greatest". I can't wait for the press conference to announce the fight.
I am a Floyd Mayweather fan, but I don't think he punked shane. When he called Shane over, shane thought he was being challenged thats all. Two great fighters who have respect for eachother. Floyd will beat the shit out of Shane.
shane wasn't the one stuttering like a bitch.
mayweather after having talked soo much shit about mosley behind his back all the sudden was buddy buddy with him too.. if anyone punked out.. it was Mayweather.
What I never understood were Floyd fans saying Shane was being disrespectful. And, pretty much shitted on Shane for this... And, basically he really didn't do nothing wrong or was disrespectful at all.. But, some Floyd fans see's thing differently...
Because a champion doesnt gate crash another champions victory , its a simple as that , all the bullshit put out that Floyd is scared of Mosley is just that , Floyd was pissed with Mosley in this not for the calling him out but the timing and he is right he was disrespected .
It was all going relatively ok until Bernard got involved, thats when it became a mess.
Thing is we may have got to hear Floyd's true feelings because he got kinda amped and I got so pissed off when Kellerman threw it back to Lampley.
Also Merchant probably would have handled it better, but he's quite harshly anti-Floyd it seems. kellerman seemed desperate to ask about Pacquiao, but not desperate to hear an answer, Floyd basically never got to answer any questions.
Dude, Jones was better than George Foreman, Emmanuel Steward, and Lennox Lewis combined. I like Merchant, but it seems like he tries too hard to be poetic. He sounds drunk sometimes too. But I've noticed his opinions are almost the same as a casual fan (but, not diehard fans). Merchant is way better than Kellerman. At least Merchant has the balls to criticize fighters to their face.
I would love for Roy to come back... I mean his career is nearing the end since years *looooooooool* but I think they will stay with the yes-sayer Lewis...
I like his poetic stuff... lately def. I can remember there was a time where he also gave props to the sweet science kind of boxers... but that has changed def. in the last few years... sometimes I feel he is very disrespectful in his commentary towards fighters... I mean if you do a column or something it is ok to have opinion but as an commentator you shouldn't shit on your network fighters... probably I'm too sensitive... but things like wake me up if something is happening is disrespectful even though Tarver-Hopkins wasn't exacrtly a war *looooooooool* He doesn't need to go there... he can send me his ticket I would love to watch these guys from his position at the ring *loooooooooooooooooooool*
I liked Foreman too... but sometimes he was really on guys nuts and talking a lot of BS seriously *looooooooooool*
Probably I'm a little hard on Mosley because I ain't expected it from him... with Hopkins nothing surprises me anymore to tell you the truth... I never really liked Shane I don't why... but he always handled himself as an class act... I have no problem that Shane wants a fight with Floyd... but everybody knows this you know... it's not like he dropped a bomb there... and we all know how tense May is after fight in interviews because of his relationship with HBO commentators (which is partly his fault)... and if someone comes in and then says... then let's get it on... it was crystal clear that he felt disrespected which he obvisouly did... I think it was an awkward situation and I believe that if DLH would have been there it wouldn't have happened... DLH is slimebag as well and hates Floyd probably too... but he is professional enough to know when it is promote time and when it is fight time...
Kellerman is a weird dude anyways... I mean if Floyd fights or is around him he acts like a nuthugger... but if Floyd isn't around he usually has a very negative opinion about him... I would wish that Roy Jones comes back... Merchant is more or less ok with me...

Don't expect anything from Hopkins, I just think it's unfair to say Mosley was disrespectful. He congratulated Floyd, submissively put his hands up and said "all I want is a chance to get it on."
I am just saying Kellerman was doing a shitty job as an announcer. He pissed off Floyd in the situation that he started, then he actually pulled the mic off Floyd's hand. If you want controversy, you better go all the way and not cut things off when you can't handle a situation that you created. Kellerman disrespcted Floyd and to a smaller extent Mosley.

No Kellerman was a dikk head.
He was nitpicking at everything Floyd said. Then he says well there is a fighter here today that is YOUR size.
But When Shane stepped into the ring we saw he was really NOT his size. Hypocrites.
I never said that they did... but there was no reason for them to start talking... Mayweather said... that he is a great fighter and that he isn't afraid of him... instead of giving props back they attacked... Kellerman is a clown anyways... I mean he let them get into that... then when Floyd in his time wants to talk he cuts away because he told him to STFU... and afterwards he ripped him that he takes questions negative from him??? Hellooooooo
I agree I think it sparked him... because he wanted Mosley for a long time even when he was in his prime... but Pacquiao was the big business... Mosley got what he wanted (mother nature helped too a bit)... still... IMO it was uncalled for... Hopkins is known as being disrespectful... I can't expect that he becomes an class act... but Mosley usually was...

dumbest posting ever
How did he punk out? Its just not his character to jump in someones face..... How do u call a fighter a punk? Specially shane mosley. Your a idiot and im sure anyone who knows shane or boxing will think your a idiot to.
it was clearly kellerman who says mosleys name, then floyd ushers him over,so mosley is invited into the interview. he respectfully says he would like to have a boxing match with floyd, then to me it seems like bhop buts in says sumit and thats when floyd gets angry as if hes gettin jumped on by 2 people as once, and bhop ruins anything else worthwile being said, jus bickering and angryness.lol.
was entertaining though at the time.good for the 24/7 clips.ha.
It was Kellerman who allowed Mosley in there. It's not like Shane and Hopkins barged in, cut off Floyd, and pulled the mic off of his hand. And Floyd shook Mosley's hand and didn't get upset until Shane asked for a fight. Then Kellerman cut off Floyd after he (Kellerman) was the one who stirred the sh!t.
And that confrontation gave Floyd more a reason to take on Mosley. This fight probably wouldn't even happen if it wasn't for that.

Yeah, he called him over to shake his hand and show some respect to Mosley... he was going to say I'm not afraid of any fighter which is nothing wrong IMO because everybody fighter does that... and he started well, then fight ram ram ram... do you honestly think after an fight and how he was attacked that they going to talk smooth and negotiate a fight c'mooooooon...
It was clear that this ends like that... Hopkins had to open his mouth too... both guys simply have to understand that yes they are fighters but if they are there as promoters for GB (De la Hoya wasn't there) and start something like that is at least unprofessional... I felt it was disrespectful as well... I mean have you ever seen Mosley step into an ring after a P-Will fight and start shit... it was an ego act... he wanted to fight Mayweather (which is nothing wrong with it) but if this is the new way... why ain't he stepped into the ring after Pac-Cotto??? After Martinez-P-Will... I guess he could have gotten cards for this fight too or? He was there as a promoter to represent GB... if you feel he did well in his job... you are entitled to your opinion... I felt it was unprofessional and disrespectful... he ain't said something disrespectful but if you feel the need to interrupt an post fight interview for your own purposes it is disrespectful... if this was the usual way then it would happen all the time.
Mosley can talk all day before the match or after the match if he gets interviewed but not in Mayweather's time...
