Out of all the current fighters who fits the bill to take over as the sports p4p #1?
Pacquiao and Mayweather will be gone within the next 2 to 3 years, I'd say that is a certainty.
I say Lopez and Chris John will not be able to deal with Gamboa speed and power. I hope Lopez is the favourite cus i will make lots of money cha ching ching.
Lopez some has power himself. I am sure Lopez and John will have trouble with Gamboa's speed, but we'll see how much Gamboa can deal with when he feels Juanma's punches.
I say Lopez. He's more of a complete fighter at the moment and he's only getting better, not saying Gamboa isn't. Lopez has been tested and we know he can deal with adversity. Not sure about Gamboa just yet.

I think it might be like this in 3 years
1. Gamboa
2. Ward
3. Khan
4. Bradley
5. Williams
I think that he is good, but not as good as he looked by beating an outweighted opponent. There are some fighters that are over him in my list of candidates.

he has the potential...if he sharpens his defense and stays focused throughout the match...his swagger is a little too high tho...he destroyed mtagwa...but he was still playing around in there...i truly believe he will walk through juanma...so if he stays undefeated at 122 and 126...and moves up to 130...he will be top 5 p4p in the next year...

Talk about jumping the gun...
Amir and Timothy have no power in their respective divisions, even less so if they move up. I wouldn't pick them.
I can see Gamboa developing into thee p4p. Rigondeaux might end up as a mayweather type (great defense + great couterpunching).
Gamboa is a good up and comer champ but he needs to step up his competition if he wants to fill PAC or Mayweathers shoes.I really dnt see him reaching those stars yet but I see Tim Bradley heading that way or even juanma or Khan one of these days.
