Above all, it is his humble confidence, which was on display during the post fight interview. He knows he is skilled, and states he is a level above the other FWs, and does not come off as an jerk while stating it. He is also willing to fight everyone including Caballero, and Arum isn't going to baby him, while Arum will baby the guy Arum wants to make into his "rival".
sim preocuparse le hice una puesta pa cuando juanma le gane a gamboa que el se tiene que ir de boxingscene pa siempre
sabes lo que mas voy a extrañar de ti ??? ese culo rico de tu signature
first of all..ever since he signed with Arum he has started fighting tougher opposition.
of course juanma has faced better opponents you idiot, he's been in boxing for a longer time.
i can't wait to see that piece of shit juanma on the floor KTFO just to see you morons cry and complain like fucking bitches.
esta gente son los que mas excusas dan en la vida....cuando ganan son lo maximo, le ganaron al mejor, pero si pierden ya tu sabes....1000 excusas :pat:

I hope that he doesn't develop bad habits... in Miami he has pretty much a cuban community... if he stays focused and matures in the ring he can be P4P material... the Mtagwa fight was a great step... Mtagwa wasn't even the best competition he has faced but he showed poise in there...
I'm big on him too and I like him too... but I won't praise him to the sky... I want to see how he does against very good opposition first... before I say he is this and that... but to not see his potential you have to be blind *loooooooooooool*
What I admire about Gamboa is that he didn't bring up anybody else's name in the post fight interview except Juan Ma Lopez's. Lopez on the other hand? Well? He mentioned Vasquez and Marquez and we know why. Because they are shot.
:haha: :haha:.

did you read my post?
i don't care about his record in this discussion, since that's not the problem
the problem is that he's talking like he has this super resume and actually has a case when saying he's not on the level of the current 126 pounders
if he's so great for this division, what's he doing there? shouldn't be going up if he doesn't have competition there?
good entertaining fighter. lets just hope he learns how to keep his mouth shut until he actually does something at 126
Perhaps I misunderstood your post :pat:
there's a huge difference between pride and arrogance
saying that he's the best is arrogance. saying it without actually being the best is stupid
the best 126 pounder right now is chris john. if he has a problem with that, john called him out already. beat him and say that you're the best at 126. if he does, than at least he'll be an arrogant guy with truth behind him
He didnt pull a Mayweather and said that he was better than anyone without even fighting them like your saying, he said and i do believe i heard him clearly (i wasnt sitting that far back!) when he said it in spanish that he doesn't believe Juanma is in the same class as he is and that you cant compare Juanma with Him 2 different boxers 2 different styles, maybe hes tired of every frikin body comparing him to Juanma maybe hes jst giving Juanma a taste of hes own medicine honestly i want them to get it on not on d so distant future but this guy its not of the Assshole arrogance type hes respectful, cocky yes but honorable and respectful to hes opponents in victory and gives them props even after he beats them.
Oye FdoTorres no hables las mismas pingas en youtube que aqui asere....deja la envidia ya....todo el mundo habla de Gamboa y eso te esta comiendo por dentro....:killyou:
I almost wouldn't even say that Lopez is fundamentally better....Gamboa's starting to fight within himself and is looking way more disciplined. Plus he has all the physical advantages.
It will be a good fight, right now I give the slight edge to Gamboa.
And Bully...you know you're my dude, but don't act like you didn't try and take a subtle jab at Lopez in the OP.
I mean I don't care at all, Lopez is certainly looking like a bitch, but don't pretend like this had nothing to do with Lopez just cause you didn't mention him by name.
I'm on to your fine print haha.
Lol, my man. I am taking a jab at the entire division, and would like to see more of them act like amboa. I like his attitude, and that he treats opponents just like opponents should be treated.
away from the cesspool known as boxing scene. it's fookan incredible how far down the shitter this God forsaken hell hole has gone since my hiatus
i'm back sporadically, here and there. i'll come out of nowhere like a ricky hatton clinch
how about you? still stayin away from the swine?

Well maybe the 1 thing hes going to keep from hes amateur olympian gold medalist days is hes pride and belief in himself ive heard him talk and do detect arrogance but not unfounded or in a disrespectful manner after all, he is (trivial wimpy tittle) but a world champion already which he won by knocking out jose rojas who came off a 12 round decission loss to chriss john and did i mention Rojas is the 1 guy that ko'd Caballero?

Do you know how many caliber fighters had Juanma fought by hes 17th bout um 0! all chumps cherry picked to make hes resume look good and that makes him overated to me because hes had the time to get a bloated resume and to me he doesnt seem that arrogant to be honest (or maybe ive just been watching 1 too many Mayweather interviews).
I like Juanma think hes a really good strong puncher but he just isn't comparable to Gamboa who didnt say he was better than everyone in the featherweights he just said that he doesnt believe that Juanma is in the same class as he is which i happen to 100% agree with Gamboa's opponents at 17 fights are far better then anything Juanma had put infront of him at that stage of he carreer and Gamboa has done great getting better each fight and knows hes defficiensies and wants to work on them tell me what kind of arrogant person would admit hes own flaws in national tv?
Oh and ps: Juanma been fighting at 122 since he started hes career and whiped De leon at 122 but the night he gets hes ass handed to him hes all the sudden he was drained from being 122 cmon BULLSHIT its an excuse because he's got a hurt ego. Specially since he said and i quote "Let's see him knock out Mtagwa," . "I'll knock Garcia out like he did. Let's see what he can do with Mtagwa. Well he blew Mtagwa away in 2 rounds and made him look rly bad period.
Riz where you been brotha?

you don't like a guy that has fought 3 champs, but like a guy that hasn't fought anyone and dares to say that he's on another level in comparison to the rest of the division greats?
his biggest win came against a guy with 12 loses that couldn't go up in weight. if he thinks he's so much better than the rest because of that, then lets see him challenge himself and move up
Gamboa was the NABF Super Featherweight Champ, the WBC Super Featherweight Champ, WBO/NABO Featherweight Champ, WBA World Featherweight Champ all within 17 fights. He has already fought at 130 several times now.
