One minute timeout on the ground... After one minute on the ground, they get put back on their feet... 5, three minute rounds... UFC gloves in the Octagon.
dude boxers arent used to defending kicks AT ALL. they would have to dramatically change their stance. K1 rules bj would beat pac's ass.
You are making a mistake here. K1 rules will result in a KTFO in favour of pacman. BJ penn doesn't even have 10% of the speed, punching power, footwork, timing, quickness, slickness of pacquiao and don't underestimate manny pac's strenght because he is a strong motherfvcker.
The kick's in k1 won't be a problem, the only thing manny have to worry about are the lowkick's because that can slow him down and result in a TKO, and i dont even think that is BJ Penn speciality.
Bj Penn can kick all he want but if manny take's one kick and take the possibilty to come inside...
Man,, BJ Penn will be brutalized.
Lol, that would be awful to see. Once the fight goes to the ground its over, BJ Penn or GSP would rip Manny to shreds. Watching Manny squeal in an armbar or rear naked choke isn't something I want to see =/
Now put those guys in a boxing ring and I say Manny KO's either by round 4. Epically.
What the hell dude?? Pac is a freak of nature man, no MMA-dude is gonna neatralize him on his feet. if it's stand up; Pac knocks them the FVCK out if it's on the ground; Pac will lose.
IF pac trains his ground game than it will be a different story because pacquiao is a much greather athlete than that fvcker of a bj penn.

no shit , roach.
penn has a good 20 lbs. on pacquiao.
Obviously it's not no shit by looking at the responses. Even if Penn didn't have a size advantage, I would say the same thing. They are talking about an MMA match not boxing. Penn has not been KO'd by much larger guys than Pacquiao.
It could go either way really, I mean lets think this through. If they fight under the rules the OP has stated, and If the first minute of each rounds its gonna be on the ground then I would say BJ would be more then capable of making the pacman tap within the first 30 seconds...hell even less. On the other hand if the first two minutes are standing then Pacman would have to start aggressive(as he ever). But that doesnt mean that BJ will be a pushover, he is more than capable of standing his ground with his boxing.
My prediction:
BJ takes this one due to the fact that is not just a boxing match, there will be leg kicks(wich are Boxer killers), knees during clinches, submission holds etc. An more importantly, and Im talking from personal experience here since I actually practice BJJ. The ground game is really really exhausting and even though Manny has great cardio, he'll find himself in a whole different scenario here. It would be like taking a polar bear out of the ice and into the desert.
PS:
Regarding the "he should fight GSP instead" GSP would neutralize Pacman's standup game like he does with every other fighter and once they are on the ground, Pac would get manhandled.

How about KTFO

:rofl::owned:
Who would win, michael jordan or brett favre???
Seriously, these fantasy fights are pointless, they are 2 completely different sports, pac would ktfo penn in a boxing match and bj would rape pac in an mma match even with restrictions.
Whats more annoying about these threads is that it attracts these annoying close minded mma bashers who dont know sh!t about mma.
They are two completely differenty sports, and they can co exist.
Some of you guys are idiots. Penn has fought as high as heavyweight and has never been knocked down let alone knocked out. If it's MMA, I love Pacquiao but I think Penn would put a beating on him.

That's one possibility, but not exactly whateverdafukyouwant.

Not that this would ever happen, but BJ could definitely tap Manny within the 1 minute timeframe.
That said though, if Manny did in fact prove able to defend the submissions, he would more than likely catch BJ at some point on their feet.
