Curious to know when Mike Tyson became Iron, Mike Tyson

There was a time (mid to late 1980's) when Mike Tyson seemed "INVINCIBLE".

Posted a reply in BSL and it had me thinking when did, Tyson become Iron Mike Tyson and who gave him the name... I also wonder when the Baddest Man on the Planet monacry came. Tyson to me had the best two Nicknames ever!? The name "Iron Mike" was the name of a famous Paratrooper, LTG. Robert F. Sink, where his statute sits on Armstead Ave, in Ft. Bragg N.C. (we ran that route 3x a week! 3 1/2 miles!) http://www.bragg.army.mil/History/IronMike/ironmike.htm Mike Tyson was Introduced as "Iron" Mike Tyson after he beat Bone Crusher Smith for the WBA Heavy Weight belt. The first dude I heard say it was Michael Buffer, when he fought Pinklon Thomas. not sure who gave him the name, but he was called Iron Mike after Cuz Damato died.
