That's cuz no one knew who the hell Plasterito was...
You answered the real reason why he doesn't push for KO's...
Yup thats why he wont KO any WW's because he wouldnt look for it in the 1st place. he knows there's a 80% chance he'll break his hands 1st.
He wouldnt fight him before the POP scandal either. He rejected 8m and tried to make a fight with LOL Corey Stinx.

Floyd has no KO power at WW.. that's why he's been the potshot machine ever since moving up to WW. He'd break his fragile hands 1st before KOing legit WW's.

So instead of trying to KO JMM he just tried to push him down instead of KO'ing him. haha. Ive heard it all
Im sure floyd is thinking in his mind in the entire fight, "man I better not KO this guy..."
In the 11th he did step on teh gas pedal, even lampley and merchant pointed it out, but he couldnt.
Its not so bad to think Floyd went for the KO and failed. But to say a boxer doesnt go in the ring with intentions of Knocking out the other boxer you have to question the logic behind it. Just because it doesnt benefit floyd you dont have to defend it.

You hear what you wanna hear cuz that's not what I said...
Floyd carried Marquez...and your blind if you don't think he did...Marquez doesn't even belong in the same ring with Floyd Mayweather at any weight...
Floyd carried Hatton as well...its not his priority to knock people out...he's a defensive fighter...
So your telling me he went for the KO in rounds 2 and 11 only??? Cuz he sure as hell wasn't in the other rounds...
If he wanted to end it in the 2nd he wudda stepped on the gas pedal...
The left hook wasn't even a big knockdown...Floyd combined it with a push...Marquez wasn't really hurt and Floyd probably knew that...
Floyd didn't even jump on him after the knockdown....in comparison to Hatton who he immediately got in close range and put punches together...

Floyd KO Margarito hahahaha He wouldnt dare get in the ring with him never mind KO him.
Why would he fight someone who isn't any good until the plaster hardens???
so youre telling us floyd never wanted to KO JMM? not even in the 11th?
I guess that left hook in the 2nd round was an accident

Why do people keep trying to convince themselves Floyd can KO these top welterweights? It took Shane Mosley, arguably the hardest hitter at welterweight, 9 rounds of domination to KO Margarito. Margarito would have to be nothing compared to what he was pre-suspension to get KOed by Floyd, and even then it would be incredibly unlikely.
Floyd does not have legit KO power at welterweight. Simple fact.
I've heard of boxers trying to get rounds in and knock off rust...

at least he tried
Ive never heard of a boxer trying not to KO another as it would be unbeneficial to him, unless youre speaking of ali-berbick

Shit...ya boy tried and he couldn't do it either...

YES. Because margarito lacks speed, and head.foot movement.Ok he is a big welterweight but he would keep getting hit with mayweathers left hook and straight right. The KO would come late on, probs 11th
what the hell u talking about??
if floyd couldnt ko marquez, how the hell is he gona ko margarito???
Only if he completely changed his style back to his 130-135 days(even still would be difficult)...which would benefit Margarito...and Floyd aint doing that
He could deff shut out Margarito 12-0 though...
Floyd would never knock out Margarito. There are 2 reasons. 1) Floyd doesnt hit hard. 2) Floyd would be too afraid to go for the KO even if he had the chance. Hell,Floyd could've knocked out lil ass Marquez but refused to go for it.
There was no need to KO Marquez. It's not a tournament where you get more points for a knock out and it's not like they were close on the score cards.
In the same situation I wouldn't go for the knock out either. I wouldn't have been impressed with Mayweather knocking Marquez either.
