come on who wants to watch this:
"I fight for the honour of my country. for all the people who love boxing"
and Clottey lol
they both can't speak english. u really want to read subtitles?
I still would like to see the perspective on Clottey's side and how he trains ( the best parts imo)
But with so little to work with since we seen almost every possible angle on pac, they should cut it to 2 episodes this time.
You could have said the same thing about Pacquiao, Cotto, Hatton, or even Mayweather. Floyd wasn't a mainstream star until the De La Hoya-Mayweather 24/7 series. 24/7 is about turning relative unknowns into big names.
A big part of why the series is popular is learning about the different personalities, different cultures, and different families of each of the fighters. We don't know about Clottey but that doesn't mean there's nothing interesting about him.
I believe the main question mark is just how much material both Clottey and Pacman will bring to the table.
Remember, HBO did an extensive profile on Pacman pre-Cotto fight and to relive that wouldn't be a smart move. Especially since nothing is new, with the exception of the Blood-Tests and the failed fight negotiations. Clottey was and is an afterthought .... to play him up outside of that would be a problem because everyone would still view him as a standin.
Its like everybody looking forward to Brad Pitt to do a big interview, he cancels and you end up with Joe Blow as a standin.
This fight is the fight that could when the Floyd vs Pacman couldn't.
Hate to say it but a 24/7 would be watered down with Clottey in it. He's a nice guy an all but he isn't a big name. Furthermore, I don't see how anything about him would be interesting enough to call for a 24/7 series.

So what if they struggle with english. You guys aren't producers or directors. Hbo can make anything work. They got skills man. Plus in america peopleb are supposed to have opportunities. Here is clotteys chance to get some more fans. Plus its all opinion on whether or not it is entertaining. some of u would rather watch hatton moon the camera.

Pacquiao-Clottey would be an incredibly boring 24/7. But it's effective at hyping up a fight and making each fighter look like one of the best in the world. There were people who actually thought Hatton was a threat against Pacquiao or Mayweather.
They should do it if they want to maximize PPV numbers, just be prepared for 1 long episode explaining why Manny is clean.
I disagree with everyone. I think the mainstream likes watching Pac's stuff even if its corny sometimes but I think Clottey will be 10x better than all of you think. He has that accent & bit of a language barrier but he's also one of the funniest guys in boxing. He's always dancing and showing off. Plus there is no doubt in my mind that this would hype the fight once people see Pac is facing this big super dark African who has no fear of nothing and looks like a machine. I would love watching Clottey on there
No 24/7 with the Pacman vs Floyd fight off the hook {Two foreigners don't make for good drama in the states} - Plus, like it or not Mayweather is still their {HBO} guy. And with a potential Mosley fight on the horizon, it seems more logical to wait till the dust settles and the contracts are signed before throwing their hat in the arena.
oh goodness can you imagine how horrible that 24/7 will be?... four weeks of Pacquiao trying to articulate an argument of why he didnt take drug test... and four weeks of Clottey talking about how Pacquiao wont be able to "take hees ponches"... and four weeks of Roach making up different lies every week, "oh we didnt fight floyd because he wanted a 30 foot by 30 foot ring and he wanted a drug test between rounds"...
Yea if HBO does the PPV then it will be on 24/7. Pac and clottey will be entertaining. Unless u wanna see mayweather and fifty cent hang out and hold hands.
HBO would be wasting money doing a 24/7 for this fight. Both fighters are boring and would not keep people tuned in for the build up to the fight. If they do maybe cut it down to 2 episodes instead of 4.
What recent fight of Clottey's could HBO show to showcase him to the fans to get interest from the fans in paying money for this fight?
