i was just watching a documentary from National Geographic called "fight science"
THey said that a one punch ko is better because lesser blows to the head means lesser long term brain damage
That's why Floyd's win over Hatton was so much more dominant than Pacquiao's. It was a professional KO, Pacquiao's was an amateur KO.
So you are saying all early knockouts are amateur KO's?.
Pacquiao's KO against Hatton was disgusting. I went from celebrating to praying.
That being said, Hatton got let off easily. The fact that he had a poor defence and a shot chin spared him from a prolonged beating that could have damaged in him in the long.
Eh, no offense, but this is old news. Just sayin.
And since my post is so pointless, I'll branch out to a different but slightly related topic.
KOing someone through an aggressive unintelligent flurry also means that you can win a fight earlier than a boxer who's far more skilled than you who took longer to beat that same opponent.

No reason that wouldn't be true, but in a case like Jermain Taylor where he suffers so many brutal KOs in a row that is much worse. I guess it depends on each fighter.
late in fights ......
its better to be ko'd by one punch early as the brain is still hydrated, later on in the fight the impact of the brain against the skull will be much more damaging as it isnt as cushioned due to being 'dryer'
The scientific evidence was always present. You can getting only a slight headache for the rest of the day.
If somebody continuously punches you and you force your body through it the damage accumilates. A documentry isn't needed to know that.
When a fighter gets knocked out the biggest danger is how they hit the canvas.

I know its old news but i never saw scientific evidence for anything.. although i already believed that a one punch ko was better than accumulated punishment
but yea... im pretty sure the people from National Geographic know their science so yea..thats why i posted it on here
This is true.
This is why UFC claims that it's "safer" than boxing.
However, I think that a one-punch KO inflicts more psychological damage than accumulated punishment does.
ehh.... thats a very tough argument... i really see points on both sides but yea...

I agree, that`s why Ricky Hatton was very lucky, the tornado, the storm was brewing and it was stopped.
