Why limit it to 50 000 in the Cowboys stadium?

this won't sell 30K let alone 50K...no disrespect to either fighter. most venues in vegas hold between 10 and 20K and they rarely sell out (only the mega-fights, sorry guys--this isn't). it's just the nature of the beast when you ask $500-$1,000 for seats.

I think it can fit 100,000 people though....that's a lot of seats to fill, lol The stadium seats 80,000 people during a football game and add on at least 20,000 standing room only, the stadium could hold at least 100,000.

I think this fight will sell well since Texas has a huge population of hispanics and many are fans of Pacquiao. Include the good size of filipinos living here and many casual boxing fans from other ethnicity, 50,000 could be a possibility especially if they sell more cheaper seats.

Why are people acting like Clottey is not a formidable opponent? I guarantee you that if Mosley was fighting Manny people would be giving Mosley a chance but quite honestly Clottey gave just as good or even better fight against Cotto then Mosley did. Styles make fights and I could see Clottey making this a tough fight for Manny.

The stadium was made to watch football played on a 100yard field. It wasn't made to watch 2 men fight in a tiny 20x20 foot ring. Is this really a question that you couldn't have answered yourself? I saw De La Hoya fight in the sun bowl here in EL Paso TX and watching a boxing match from the nosebleed section of a football stadium eat's donky dick! I live about 30 miles from the stadium and I know there is a group of about 20 of us going or more. I think some people dont realize how big of a boxing fanbase that Texas has. Also dont forget that Holyfield drew over 10K in Dallas a few years ago against some guy nobody had ever heard of. Not to mention that all of the hispanics here I know love Manny. I would be surprised if there wasnt at least 30K for the fight.

They will expand the seating limit if the demand for the tickets exceeds the limits that they set. This is exactly right. Then you will have $25 seats in the upper realms of the stadium. A great seat for a great price to take in the ambiance of the event and still be able to watch it on the biggest screen in the world. But if you put the $25 seats on sale now the cheap people will gobble them up instead of the 50's. Smart move.

But thinking that you gotta pay $50 for parking and $10 for a beer and its in boondoks Arlington Texas 100k seats for a fight without a Mexican boxer in the main event is a good idea. JCC JR vs Margarito as the undercard and I gaurentee you it would sell 100k.

Its in Texas which has a huge Mexican American population, and isn't Margarito on the Undercard? I could see that being a selling point. Some people might go just for the sheer novelty(Cowboy fans). I think this fight would be lucky to do 50k in seats, but it'd be dumb to marginalize profits

Why not just make the tickets cheaper, and fill it to capacity? Probably they a bit scrared... No that many people want to go, ESPECIALLY considering all the very bitter fans that won't go now because the Mayweather fight fell apart. I may have flown out for this one if it was after a Mayweather fight, but i wont anymore. not worth it This is not true. Dallas hardly ever gets mega fights and a lot of those people in Dallas Suburban area are caked up big time and will go out of there way to see any big time sporting event. These same people are die hard sports fans. If you don't believe, Both TCU and SMU (Two schools in the area) were both constantly reprimanded by the NCAA because those same fans were throwing tons of money because they wanted to have a winning team in there city. Im telling you those people love sports and will spend whatever it takes if they feel they can be apart of something special. Again Manny Pacquiao is huge and that city may never see another big boxing event for a long time. So why not capitalize on those people especially if they have the money to blow.
