Shane's been off a year now. So many fans were looking forward to his upcoming fight at the end of the month. I know there are eager, quality Welterweights out there who would jump at the opportunity to fight Shane Mosley. Personally I don't think Floyd will fight Shane. Shane shouldn't even waste his time entertaining such a fight. Which fighters out there do you all think could get ready for a Jan 30th appearance vs Shane?
Look, bro.
I didn't call you a flomo. I'm just saying that a fan of boxing would want to make sure that Mosley is fresh before he fights Mayweather.
It's only fair to Mosley that he have an interim opponent since he trained for months and months and now has no opponent to fight until May 1st.
If GBP cares about Shane, they'll at least give him a tomato can to beat on before he steps into the ring with the younger faster and IMO fresher Mayweather.
1 year and a half is a long time to be away from the ring for a guy Mosley's age.
I don't want haters to have any excuses come fight night.
GBP and HBO should do the right thing and have a tomato can ready on January 30.
well its all good man. Im definitely not against Mosley having a fight. Shit, I would love to see him on Jan 30th even for the fact that Im a die hard fan and it obviously would be a benefit but Im just saying that if he doesnt fight then I dont think its fair to diminish the victory if Floyd shall win. Shoot, I would love to see both of them have a fight before hand. Ive also said that Im still not 100% comfortable with Floyd having 2 years off and just fighting a smaller JMM before jumping in with a beast like Shane. The difference in force could be a shock to Floyd's system
 You're very unbiased, Sir. Floyd did said that he would ask for that type of testing for any of his future upcoming fights.
bullshit, he says alot but never follows thru with it. Your hero is a bitch, i doubt he'll end up fighting shane.
come on man, dont catch feelings. I have never ever disrespected you so dont start calling me names. I just dont think its fair to say all this and that. Floyd aint no spring chicken himself. He's also not 39 like everyone keeps saying. He will be 38 and Floyd will be 33 when they fight and Floyd has been more inactive. I just dont think people would be saying those type of things if Pac was fighting him. It would be nice to see Shane have a fight but it also would be nice to see Floyd have a fight. They didnt so you have to go by what you saw there last time out. 38 is older but in all of sports now everyone is playing at a higher level for a longer period of time. There are alot of 38 year olds who have held it down in all sports the last decade or so. He will be fine

I'm not even saying Floyd is fresh or rusty.
I'm saying that at 39 years old, Mosley is due for retirement anytime now.
It is a legitimate suspicion that Mosley may be slowing down and showing signs of his age.
I was going to use Berto-Mosley as the measuring stick for how he does against Floyd.
Now that Berto is out of the fight with two weeks left, Mosley deserves to fight a tomato can at the least to keep himself fresh for Mayweather.
If you're a fan of boxing and not a flomo you'd agree.
come on man, dont catch feelings. I have never ever disrespected you so dont start calling me names. I just dont think its fair to say all this and that. Floyd aint no spring chicken himself. He's also not 39 like everyone keeps saying. Thats just another way to take credit away from Floyd. He will be 38 and Floyd will be 33 when they fight and Floyd has been more inactive. Floyd was also gone for 2 years and going into this fight Shane will be off for just over 1 year while Floyd will have had 1 fight in over 2 and a half years and 2 fights in 3 years. Most even think the JMM match was a sparring match. Dont try to act like Floyd has been super active or has had real tough fights while little innocent Shane hasnt. I just dont like it when people try to take credit. Everyone gives Pac the credit for beating these guys he's been beating even though most of them look like crap before hand. We have to be fair. Besides, he cant fight anyone in March and then try to fight again in May? How would that work? It wouldve been the same for Floyd. The only guy he could fight like that is a bum who has no chance. He cant fight a tough opponent and then Floyd again just 1 month and a half later. You act like the 2nd date is so far off. Its only like 45 more days from the 1st date

Floyd is 32 coming off a fight in September.
Mosley is 39 coming off a fight in January of last year.
I think it's a legitimate reason for wanting an interim fight.
I don't like people having excuses and I don't like hyping myself for a fight for nothing.
If Mosley comes out of an interim fight looking fresh, then haters won't have any excuses.

People didnt let Floyd have those excuses so why should Mosley. He'll be sharp enough
Are you even surprised that some of them are already contemplating about that? This will be one of their pre-excuses. I can see it now, "Floyd beat up a 39 year old past prime fighter." "Mosley was not ready, he was rusty."
Don't be surprise to see their excuses, when/if Floyd win that fight.

Mosley needs an interim opponent.
I want to see if he's past it or not.
He'll be rusty as hell if he doesn't fight until May 1st.

This will probably be your excuse if/when Floyd beat him.
I think you've been connecting Roach's statements from different articles in different times ! It's literary roidism.
Mayweather's the biggest fight out there for Mosley, other then Pacquiao, who is already booked to fight Clottey. Hope GBP's is able to work things out between the sides, so that this fight comes to fruition. This fight is to good not to happen. Even if it's pushed back to May 1st... I say make it happen.
Too right man, March 13th,May1st. HBO make mayweather vs mosley happen. Richard Schaefer lets go n get negotiations started.

Floyd just fought. No tuneups.
How can this fight be made anyway? I thought Mosley took steroids. Are they gonna force him to do Olympic style testing?
:lol1:
