Here is a good way of looking at it, if Pac beats Mayweather the world would be shocked. If Mosley beats Mayweather, not as much.

I think beating Mosley is more important for Floyd's legacy....Floyd vs. Pac could literally be a mismatch if it goes the way I envision. Thing is, if Pac can't handle Floyd's movement and defense capablities he's up sh-t creek. Mosley is a more diverse fighter.

Mosley is an ACTUAL welterweight, and the welterweight champion at that. Pacquiao is great but a fight with mayweather would be for a mythical pound for pound title and nothing else. Neither Mayweather nor Pacquiao is the champ in the division they would be fighting. Mayweather-Mosley on the other hand, is for the definitive #1 spot in the welterweight division. It may not be bigger, but it could be a better action fight, and its more meaningful I agree it's a better and more meaningful fight especially since I think either of them beats Pacquiao right now. After this fight, I don't know. It's gonna be tough and may take a lot out of both guys. (good for Pacquiao) :boxing:

When would the ring belt be in play? Pacquiao-Mosley or Pacquiao-Mayweather (1 vs 3, and the board would make the exception most likely) . Pacquiao has the number 1 spot in their rankings and honestly I wouldn't really argue it.

At the end of the day Mayweather still has to fight Pacquiao sometime this year.
