almost a year and a half ago. I remembered when it happen, and actually re-watch the fight the other day. The thing is he has improved, but how much is yet to be seen. He is, IMO, still a work in promise and is improving as a fighter at a rapid pace. I just think he needs atleast 3 more solid wins before I throw him in there with a Pacquiao or Mayweather.
I'm continuously amazed by the praise prospects like Ortiz and khan get, and the blantant hate that Bradley get by supposed boxing fans. Bradley gets a title, he doesn't duck anyone, he fights a murderer's row of fighters in 140 and beats them all soundly, yet he is called overrated. Then the same people turn around and say Khan is the future, when the joke ducks Maidana, in the process dumping his title, and cherry picks the easiest fights around.
khan and ortiz are the britney spears of boxing. manufactured stars.

there is no way you saw that fight boxrec boy. bradley clearly won i'm simply amazed. i had it 9 rounds to 3 with a knockdown. 8 to 4 at the worst for bradley. witter didn't do shit. he was trying to time bradley the whole fight but couldn't find the counters. it was a route.
Thread is nonsense. This is like saying, don't forget Pac lost to Torrecampo and Morales. Big deal.
Bradley looked nothing short of P4P top 5 material in his last fight (serious).
I didnt think the fight was close at all, but people really need to get over the whole this guy had trouble with this guy so hes not that good bullshit.
All fighters have styles or opponents that are going to give them trouble, instead of saying hes over-rated because of it, we should be giving them props for winning those fights.
He fought and beat a prime and dangerous Junior Witter in his home town while he was still green.....Timothy Bradley's last 6 fights have all been against dangerous opposition and he's improved in each one.
I agree. Beating WItter in the UK was a upset to say the least.
I can agree with your sentiment about Bradley's continued development and need for even more seasoning, but that fight with Witter just was not close, regardless of what the judges' scores were. Your message will be lost on some because of the the thread title.
Only a dumbass Brit would say Witter almost won the fight with Bradley. LOL. I guess Ricky Hatton was beating Floyd too and was winning the 2nd round against Manny. LOL. Dumbasses. Some Brits need to take the blinders off with regards to some of their fighters.
Bradley comfortably beat Witter something like 9-3 from what I remember. Witter didn't do shit in that fight.
Bradley is the REAL DEAL..as solid as they come.
he also almost lost to Holt.. but the thing is; he was able to fight the adversity.. its where you separate the good boxers against the descent..

lol he beat the sh*t outta witter! the only reason the scorecards were close was because they were in witters backyard.

He was in his mid thirties and was never world class to start with oh yeah and his dad died during training camp.
Bradley hasnt really proven himself fully yet, he has done alot so far and is a champ but not really great at any one thing really, hes still developing.
This is the point I was trying to make. He should work on cleaning up 140 and then go for a big name. If Bradley does that, especially with the different styles some of the top fighter in that division have, He will come out a lot better fighter.
I thought he beat Witter, but he didn't dominate him like an elite fighter should have. When Judah fought him, he made Witter look like a bum.
For one, I strongly disagree, Bradley clearly and easily beat Witter. Thing is, I'll never rewatch that because Bradley vs. Witter was too damn boring. Holt came closer to winning and I had Bradley clearly winning that also. Fact is, Bradley isn't the same dude who faught those 2, he has improved alot since then and has showed us that he can actually box from the outside.
I agree about him improving since then. The thing is that I think he needs to face 2-3 guys from 140 before he steps up against Mayweather or Pacquiao. I'm just not in favor of throwing him in there just yet.
@the guy who wondered what my scores were...If my memory serves me correct I had it 115-113. While I think he won, I'm not too impressed with Witter especially after seeing what Judah did to him.
i thought he handled witter quite well, i thought he won fairly clearly, i was concerned that he was going to get robbed but he didn't and he won in witters backyard, so it couldn't have been that close for him to get the nod there.
but witter is a awkward style, lots of jumping in and out, odd angles of punches, so it is understandable that it took bradley a little bit to get his range down and start putting the gloves on him.
it's been obvious that bradley fighter better against guys who dont' have a whole lot of footwork, and if they do, he has the fight style to get them out of their game to stand and bag, which is his style of fighting,.
i like bradley and am looking forward to what he's going to do in his career. all his fights i've seen have been good to watch, other than the campbell fight.
