Im a Pac fan, and it's time to cut the bullshit.
The nerve people have saying Floyd is "scared". A lot of people didnt think Floyd would face Pac, I'm willing to bet team Pac didnt either. Floyd made them an offer that was more than fair, over a week more time then they claimed they needed to be 100%, and THEY turned the offer down. Pacquiao said no, not Floyd.
Floyd fought Coralles when he was 33-0. Hatton when he was 43-0. Castillo and Judah in their absolute prime. Hes got nothing to be scared of.
Ive been watching boxing since I was a kid, never been much into Floyd. When i started posting here last year, people were seriously hating on him, and I agreed with a lot of it. Of course Manny coming up in weight and taking down bigger guys makes him look like the good guy, the hero. I love watching Manny, and I love whats hes been doing for boxing. Floyd coming in overweight for the Marquez bout was complete bullshit, and I called him out on it like anyone else.
but you know what? The tables have turned, and Mannys the one who needs to be called out. It doesn't matter that I love Pac; you dont have to be in denial to be a fan. Floyd wanted blood tests. It's not the first time someone asked for more testing. Pac said it made him sick for a day or two, then Freddie said he needed three or four days. Team Mayweather was willing to accommodate them with not one but two whole weeks of no blood tests.
Manny said no, for whatever reason, and killed the fight. Floyd made a fair offer and Manny either has something to hide or just wants to turn this into a dick measuring contest.
Either way, Mannys legacy took a giant hit. If he's still a god to fillipinos, okay, but otherwise the majority of people are at least raising an eyebrow about him turning down 40million for.... no reason at all? Yeah.

Im a huge Pac fan before being a Floyd fan and I approve this message.
Yes, just take the damn tests so all us fans can get what we all want.
Even though I'm not a real fan for Floyd I still give credit when its due.
I have faith that the fight will eventually happen. It has to...It just has to.
Look at the post you first responded to.
That should give you a clue as to why you are out of your element.
To sum up what I said,
Floyd has said this and that about potential opponents, and then chose not to fight them.
You came back and started saying, "well what about when Pacs fans say this and that?"
My entire point was, Floyd wouldn't have "haters", "detractors", "critics", whatever you want to call them,
if he didn't run his mouth about these guys,
and then refuse to fight them.
It was you who tried putting Manny in there,
to compare the two in that instance,
when they're not remotely the same.
Look-just the title of this thread itself suggests that the subject is on BOTH fighters. You were quick to have tunnel vision on purely Floyd only, when in fact there are quite a few things that can be debatable with Manny as well.
You would have to be either blind or have invested emotion in Pacquiao to not see that....
By the way-Manny was overlooking Yuri Foreman by saying "how he would chop him down to the body",how he would beat him,etc...then the very next day he says "Yuri's height is a problem" and refused a fight with the weakest belt holder of the jmw division despite the fact that Yuri Foreman is actually only half an inch taller than Oscar De La Hoya.I guess the real problem is that Manny couldn't take the belt from Yuri in a lesser catchweight bout and he would actually have to fight at the legitimate jmw limit-
Isn't that what you would call "running your mouth and then backing out"? It is the same shit whether you believe it or not-perhaps the dynamics are different, but the statements are still similar.....
You are well out of your depth.
Honestly-I did not mention one thing about who demeaned who first, and it is actually irrelevant to what we are discussing. These are supposed to be boxers, not crybabies. Manny had a chance to shut Floyd up and he pissed it away with both random blood testing and fighting.Do you really think that does him any form of justice, besides making him look like he is ducking Floyd and random drug testing?

I agree.Boxing as a sport is a priority to me,not some "he said, she said" cry-baby bullshit. That guy was talking about Floyd ducking after being a welterweight, and to tip the balance,he cannot see his own hypocritical mentality.
At the end of the day-the winner of the fight gets the glory.I personally want to see the best boxer win because of skills, not because one is more likable to some.
People forget that this is a combat sport, not a beauty pageant.
PRETTY BOY floyd mayweather jr.
@ Tortilla Warrior-
In case you have a form of memory defect, let me post what you had wrote-not ONCE is their discussion about who the "gentlemen" is,who "demeaned" who,etc- you are clearly talking about Floyd ducking,cherry-picking,etc. and a few replies later you want to try and come off as a neutral boxing fan-gtfoh.

But this is the same cat who swears all of these opponents are "easy fights" and "easy work",
but won't ever prove it in the ring.
Its just like the schoolyard pussy who talks all this shit during recess,

The criticism isn't hate when its the truth and warranted.
This is what I responded with...not once did you mention anything about which fighter is "demeaning" the other.
How is this much different than saying "Manny will chop down Foreman to the body and beat him",then the next day he refuses a fight with him because "Yuri is too tall". Amazing how people neglect to note when Manny is a hypocrite and hides from the weakest belt holder in that division.
Now that Manny is a welter weight,he considered Marquez part 3 and his fans rejoiced-yup,the same fans who demeaned Floyd's win over Marquez.
The same people who believe Floyd ran away from a fight with Manny, yet are too blind to see that Manny was looking for other opponents while "negotiating" a fight with a man who posed a threat to him (fact-Manny was looking for an easier fight against Malignaggi, Yuri Foreman, Timothy Bradley, Clottey, or anyone NOT named Floyd, Shane,or Williams).Who gave up on the negotiations when it got to one measly request-keep in mind that Manny signed for a fight and Floyd still had hope of fighting Manny-not the other way around..... sounds like a warrior.
Thank you,come again!
It has nothing to deal with Co Signing cuz the post is mainly people hating on Floyd... Everyones entitled to their opinions but bashing somebody left and right is just pure ignorant, and the same goes the other way, I dont care if some of these people think Manny is on roids or whatever, all I care about is BOXING, I dont care who talks trash interviews or all that crazy mess because in the end of the day they decide what paths they wanna take in their careers not us... If this person wants to duck and dodge whoever thats their problem, they gotta live with that, I wont lose any sleep at night

Well, how about this,
when was the last time you heard Manny degrade a potential opponent?
:pat:
Think before you react.
It will save you embarrassment down the line.
I'm talking about things Floyd himself said, not what Floyd fans or Floyds trainer said.
So, once again,
can you name me an instance where Manny Pacquiao himself has degraded any potential opponent?

I respect the guys boxing and he does it with passion.
He respect all boxers his faces by training hard for them and taking eah fight seriously.
I also respect Pac for the same thing.
People who have never trained or jogged wouldn't know how hard it is to get there stamina. for a normal person 1 or maxium 2 rounds of sparring will make you exhausted.
Also this is a boxing match not a WWE street fight where every week they are going to meet each other.
It's pointless to argue with someone that believes a fighter should not have to take a random blood test...
It's pointless to argue with someone that thinks their favorite fighter from modern day should be compared to Ali, RobinsoN, Leonard, and other greats.
Both fighters have cherry picked opponents! One just picked better cherries.

You're saying "exactly" to his response to me,
which had no relevance to what I was saying.
He completely missed the point. He went off on a tangent that had nothing to do in regards to what I pointed out.
He quoted my post, and came out talking silly.
As I said before, its not hate, when its the truth. Hating is saying Floyd has had a wack career since he started boxing. That is completely false and something a hater would say.
Its truthful criticism when one says, "above 135, Floyd has avoided the best challenges, even when he gave the perception he wanted those fights to happen".
Of course you have haters here, but the lunacy comes from both sides as the more quality posters have decided to sit on the sidelines and watch as the less knowledgeable newbies spew their venom. More often than not, in the last five years, the lunacy has come from Floyd followers who defend every meaningless fight, defend his every word in regards to not fighting particular opposition, and steadfastly refuse to see things as they are.
You're co signing someone who is using crazed fans as the prime example of all respectable and knowledgeable boxing fans.
You're co signing someone who is critiquing Manny Pacquiao for not fighting a jr. middleweight after having only 1 fight at jr. welter and another fight at welterweight in the last year. The same guy who just came up from 130 and 135, in 2008.
"exactly".

dude theres nout we can do to stop Floyd Fans Vs Pac Man Fans on here...may as well hope they both calm down....
Exactly?
Again, give me one instance where Manny Pacquiao has degraded a potential opponent in order to justify not fighting that person?
Just one. I can give you several of Floyd doing just that.
"He has four losses and nobody knows him".
"He needs to get his PPVs up.
"I don't fight sparring partners and he does steroids".
"Hes a D class fighter, hes a paper champion".
"Easy fight, easy work".
lol at you co signing someone who doesn't even get the point.

I admit that Manny has a good heart before and after the fight because overall its a SPORT, I'm a huge fan of Floyds talents, but his mouth does tend to cause alot of mess...
Shining example of a 12 yr old's logic. How can you take these folks seriously? Son, at the airport you pretty much do whatever the "proper" authorities tell you to do. Otherwise, you won't get to where you want to go. It's your choice to go back home and cry. You don't submit yourself to average Joe's roaming around the airport. Now if you suspect someone is a terrorist you go to the "proper" authorities and let them do something about it just as you expect them to. You don't go around yelling "he's a terrorist!" and expect him to prove himself to you. You go to the "proper" authorities and expect that he'll cooperate. Get it now?
My 12 year old logic sounds a lot like Pac. Let's see: I'm a fighter, but Mayweather said some things that hurt my feelings, so instead of being a man, defending my pride, taking them tests getting in the ring and making Mayweather pay for his insults, I'm going to run away crying like a baby, turning my back on my fans, and the boxing world. Thats me just like your hero pac.
How is this much different than saying
