A question for Americans???

i enjoy his fights... he dominated, i dont ask for much more than that Unless it's Floyd Mayweather. Then you'll also ask for: Knockouts, getting hit in the face as well and him fighting much bigger opponents for a 2 hour credit and back to hating after that. Actually it's Ricky. He fought 2 p4p #1 prime champions whereas calzghe NEVER fought an A class fighter. Ever.

hatton could have been as good as calzaghe had he defended his belt in manchester for 10 years against bums then fought 40 year old floyd and manny. great career! believe me, that would have happened had he stayed with Frank Warren.

Anyone with a hint of talent can do what Calzaghe did, and I do mean ANYONE. Anybody could stay in his country and defend his title 20 times against guys who had no chance. The only respect I had for Joe was his win over Kessler, which Ward just made look pretty weak in November by doing a better job on Mikkel.

I am a fan of both but I would say Calzaghe.

Theres only one Ricky Hatton. I just feel Hatton pushed himself harder than Joe did. Fighting Tszyu, Manny and Floyd proved to me he wasn't afraid to lose.

I know Calzaghe s Undefeated and has alot of good qualitys but Man i struggle to respect a guy who after all 10+ years as a champ Still dont know how to throw a punch! Cant stand himHe throws punches, just differently from everyone else. It obviously worked for him

Im intrested to see what the thoughts are here. Im from Scotland myself and its not close for me - Hatton by a mile! yeah im from england and i respect hatton more for the tougher fights hes taken. iv got an idea about who the poll is gonna favour but il keep it to myself

Which fighter do you respect more? Ricky Hatton or Joe Calzaghe. I know both fighters get a lot of hate one here, but im interested to know who you respect more. i enjoy watching both a good bit... i've never really "cheered" against either fighter but im not your average american boxing fan, im a fan of the sport long before a fan of any specific fighter
