Who came closer to beating Cotto; Mosley or Clottey?

Clottey did. Without the KD I had Cotto-Clottey 6-6. I scored the Mosley fight 7-5, so Clottey was closer.

Clottey did. For me it was tighter on the cards and also there was a very real possibility of the fight getting stopped due to the cut.

I'd have to say Mosley.

Clottey's headbutt slowed Cotto down a bit, so tha made me think that Cotto wasn't as ferocious as he was with Mosley. But yeah, different styles make different fights. Clottey may be more defensive at that fight than Mosley. I just liked how Cotto looked against Mosley and neither lost to me. Yea I agree with you here and the Cotto that fought Clottey didnt seem to have that hunger he had when he fought Shane

I'm wondering cause I know people say they both got robbed. I had Clottey losing by 2-3 points and I had Cotto beating Mosley by 1 point. what does the majority of NSB believe? Honestly this is hard to decide in my opinion cuz the Cotto that fought Shane was ALOT better then the one who fought Clottey...

How can you have killer instincts when you face someone as hard az Clottey.? Margarito couldn't even break him down despite Clottey's injury. Cotto no longer has his killer instinct when he fought Clottey, and for Mosley, they both gave me satisfaction for a great fight, so both (mosley and cotto) were winners for me.

I say Clottey did,because he was technically better than Cotto that night!!But Mosley was just slugging & a tad bit sloppy!!But I don't think that the Cotto Clottey fought was the same as the 1 that Mosley did!!

I had clottey winning by a point against cotto(It wasn't a robbery by any means but I just thought clottey edged him out). So... Cotto clearly beat mosley I don't know why some say "mosley got robbed" or "it could have gone either way" because it was a clear and fair win by cotto..

The Clottey fight was closer. Mosley didn't have stretches of dominance like Clottey had either. Mosley faced the fresher man though.

I think Clottey was closer Some rounds were hard to score, I think the right card was a 114-113 for either fighter, It was a close one. Clottey threw a hundred less punches but landed more 40+ more. But Clottey was knocked down in the first.

I just don't think Clottey fought enough of every round, not only the championship rounds. He made himself look bad by just leaning on the ropes and letting Cotto pound him, he would block most but Cotto would land enough to win the round, especially if Clottey took most or all of that round off. Mosley fought a good fight and it was back and forth but i had him winning more rounds then Clottey, like i said I had Mosley losing by only 1 point so i can see the argument.

I'd say Mosley, though I had Cotto winning on both.

To me theres no doubt Clottey came closer , WAYY CLOSER , Mosley never had control of that fight and you can argue Cotto outboxed a boxer in Mosley. Clottey had that fight to take and he just slacked , he could have had a stoppage win in Cotto , a very impresive one , but his workrate lacks a spark. He let Cotto win championship rounds , he got kd in the first which gave Cotto a 2 point lead , and he just let Cotto steal enough rounds to earn a descicion , which was impressive for Cotto cuz Clottey is not an easy opponent at all , he is ****ing huge , strong and very powerful , and that defense is hard to break , Cotto didnt have the speed to break it , his timing played a big role in that fight.
