You've seen Clottey fight. I didn't. Do you think he is better than Cotto? Can he survive the punishing punches of Pacquiao? More importantly, what are the chances that he can beat the Pound for Pound king?:fing02:

No. He is not and has never been better than Cotto.
He bearly beat Mosley? Cotto bearly beat Clottey but he clearly out boxed Mosley on his way to a UD.
Im going to go ahead and say you probably did not see either of those fights.
I've always felt that style-wise Margarito will always beat Cotto, but that was at 147. Think about it, at 154 Margarito's work rate might go down and Cotto's power might be enough to get him to hurt Marg or at least keep Marg off him enough to get the decision. Very exciting possiblity, not so easy to figure who wins. Cotto needs to work on his defense cause if his head's going to be wide open then it won't look good.
i had clottey winning the fight.
better hand speed, better defense, and much better chin. unlike cotto he's also a 2 fisted fighter. that straight right could be trouble for manny.

I thought it was a clear win also but it was only like 7-5 and Cotto had to get on his bike late. Even after that fight alot of the people who even picked Cotto said that if they had a rematch they would go with Mosley
The problem for Clottey is he shells up, and doesn't throw enough punches. Also, as Cotto showed in the 6th and 4th round if you throw enough punches, you can break through his defense. Manny will be able to throw 70-90 punches a round and not get tired. Clottey will look like shit, but he'll win which is what anyone who fights Clottey does. He makes them look bad, but he always ends up losing because he doesn't do enough.
WTF is that? If you say prime Mosley was better you have a case but you can't tell me with a straight face Mosley now or Mosley that Cotto beat was better than Cotto pre Margarito fight.
IDK about that at all. Alot of people think that if Richardson was in his corner then he probably wouldve won that fight. I honestly wouldnt be shocked if Margarito wouldve beat Mosley if he still had his dad in his corner. Also, my point is that just because someone beats a guy doesnt mean that he's better. Thats what you are trying to say. Vince Phillips beat Tszyu but he aint Tsyzu. Cotto barely beat Mosley but he go KTFO by Margarito & Pac while Mosley brutaly stopped Margarito and would probably put up a far better showing against Pac than Cotto did. There are many cases like that in boxing
Well in a contest of 12 rounds to see who was the better fighter. Miguel Cotto won the decision .
IDK about that. Cotto beat Mosley also but I think most would say that Mosley is better. If Quintana had never rematched Williams, I think most wouldve still said that Williams was better

This was an entertaining clip. I love the music in the background.
People have underestimated Clottey's skill level. The guy has serious hand speed. Not it is not Pac/May like hand speed but it is elite hand speed. He throws good combinations, he shoots his right very straight, has tight defense and his chin is granite. He is not that big of a puncher but he is MAN strong. This is a very very tough fight for Pacquiao.
the thing I love about Clottey the most is he's one of the few guys who are funny in the ring. You dont see that anymore. I bet anything that he does something in this fight that will either make you laugh or make you get super hyped. He shows off a little in every fight
watching those highlights makes me want to switch my pick back to Clottey over Pac but as Ive said. He always comes up short and doesnt have that extra gear that all the greats have
