Floyd can say what he wants to say. He is entitled to his own opinion.
But opinions are not facts, and facts along with stats is where ill judge floyd at.
Boxing is a sport that has a 125 year history. It is the oldest major surviving sport. No one can say they are the best ever without first explaining who the best fighters were from the begining of the sport until now. After they explain that, then they must explain how is it that the era they fought in was greater than the era that other fighters fought in.
The game has change, The rules have change, the fighters have change.
There is no agreeable standard inwhich we can really judge who the best fighter ever is.
Fighters are judged On How they dominated their eras and where they ranked in their era.
When you go into the HOF , it is not just the greatest fighters of all time. It is the greatest fighters who were the greatest in their time. It is a tribute to the boxers who have gone before, and to those who have strived to reach the standard their predecessors have set.
1.Floyd didnt fight in Ali Era
2.Floyd didnt Fight in SRR Era
3.Floyd didnt fight in SRL Era
You can only fairly judge him on how he stood in his era.
And in Floyd's Era He stood of top of the Mountain the longest.
When you dominated for 10 years straight.
When you becoming the first person to ever moved up 5 weight classes and win the offical titles in every weight class he went into while remaining UNDEFEATED that is amazing.
There has to be some credit given for constantly being excellent at what you do.
Because guess what?, being consistant is the hardest thing about being great !!!
Look at the Lakers and Look at the Pistons! What's the difference?
Look at the Yankee's and Look at Red Sox's! What's the difference?
"Consistency"
FLOYD MAYWEATHER = The most consistantly GREAT Fighter in this era.period!
No up and downs, JUST UP'S !!
NO DRAWS, NO GETTING OUTBOXED, Just winning !!! JUST WINNING !!!
At a high level.
Recognize greatness, and when you recognize it, appreciate It.!
So floyd can say what he wants about being the best ever, that is bullshit..Because he can not physically proved that inside the ring or out of it.
But what he can do is keep WINNING, and keep WINNING at a high level
and what you can not do is deny his greatness!!

I am tired of hearing, all floyd said he is the best. blah blah
Once your the Great, it should be your goal to sustain that greatness. By being consistant.
Because that is the hardest thing about being great is being consistant.
True that. Horus.
He has consistently avoided the top welterweights of this era. He is so consistent that he will probably fight another non-welterweight next. That, my friend, is consistency.
WTF are you talking about? Just 2 Floyd fights ago Floyd was the 1st to defeat & stop an undefeated in 43 fights Hatton. Uh oh here comes the excuses for why Hatton lost.
2 fights ago 3 years ago lol
Credit for him beating hatton....a light welterweight who stepped up to the challange of floyd at welterweight.....
But thats my point...did you also give him credit for beating marquez? As floyd says "a guy that alot of people think pacquiao lost to" lol....Yeah under much different circumstances.....
When floyd fights some creditable WW's ill give him the credit he thinks he deserves...
Until then why the fk am i gonna think hes the best in the world? What has he done to prove it?
Its like Barcelona claiming to be the best football team in the world but not entering the Champions league, Or la liga....it just doesnt work like that
He's not the greatest, but all greats have to think like that. Gives them that competitive edge.
I would say Floyd is the best skilled boxer we have seen in decades, but in order for Floyd to move up in my ATG he has to beat better competition. Until then he sits at 10-15 in my book.
its hard to explain when the facts are in front of ya and u dont wanna see it cuz ur blind...
we are talking about greatness.. floyd questioned pac's greatness cuz he doudts he is using roids.. man i dont need to explain it.. dont twist the facts..
appreciating means ..... asking for additional drug test cuz i doubt pacs is on something..
jes hes blind.or need some new glasses
u need some new glasses
Horus is either not too bright or purposefully twists the facts and plays dumb. Not sure which.
Floyd is a great fighter.
I just wish he'd fight better competition to prove it to the world.
As of now, he's only proven that he wants the safest route to greatness.
That doesn't always work.
Floyd needs to fight this era's best which include Pacquiao, Mosley, Cotto, Williams, Martinez, Margarito, Clottey.
I'd gain more respect for him if he fought any of them.
He might even make me his fan again.
Floyd Mayweather is a GREAT FIGHTER he is second to Manny Pacquiao who is fighter of the Decade recognized by RING Magazine and this site
We all just have to appreciate these 2 fighters. The BEST Manny Pacquiao and thge 2nd best Floyd Mayweather Jr.
if ever the floyd said that...i guess he needs a physcho test...a biopsy or a teaspoon of his brain to be tested if he's deranged or lunatic.

Exactly...
Pac is doing in 1 year what floyd couldnt do in 4?
Floyd is great, but theres more to being a great fighter.....
He dont care about his fans....he dont care about his legacy....he wont go out of his way to fight some1 who will give him 10 times the credit then another fighter (e.g. mosley/berto/cotto or some1 pac now even) hes pretty much a cherry picker....
He might of been 1 of the best we have ever seen at the lower weights....and we realy dont know how great he is at welterweight because hes in his own world and dont wanan fight and even if he does...he lets his ego get in the way....
That isnt a great in my eyes...it takes more than what you just do in the ring, its how you carry yourself, treat your fans give them what they want etc
I honestly dont know how he still has big fans...they must remember his younger years alot more vivid the anything else because its not what hes done in recent years keeping them...
Il give him credit for 1 thing tho...hes the best bullshitter ive seen out of the boxers, he almost gets me believing he has a point sometimes until you see all the contradictions

Horus Floyd is GREAT...but he can also be great-er.
Hes letting Pac pass him up.
Pac is not fukking around. Hes going to fight Clottey, Marg and maybe Mosley by the end of 2010.
Floyd needs to do SOMETING now..if he does not want to be overshadowed by Pac.
Exactly...

u need some new glasses
Once again WHAT THE fucck did Pacquiao do to become UNDOUBTABLE?
lol i didnt say he is undoubtable.. having doubts means you dont really appreciate his greatness cuz u have doubts.. why is pac so great?? u have questions cuz u doubt his greatness if u have questions ur not really appreciating his greatness.. i quote that line if only the mayweathers look at pac that way they wont have questions and doubts on him..
example is when Floyd fought JMM he respected JMM he had no doubts about JMM's skill and saying it in public.. did he asked for anyrthing compared to what he is asking from pac now?? none.. thats respect and appreciating ones greatness thats what im talking about..
