Super Six Stage, who ya got??

AA vs Dirrell- March 6th, 2010 Ward vs Green/Bika- Feb. 5, 2010 on Showtime, winner faces Ward on the same night as Kess-Froch Kessler vs Froch- April 17th, 2010, Showtime I think the AA-Dirrell fight will surprise a few people. Abraham had a target that stayed right in front of him in Taylor, but Dirrell will not do that. Dirrell will give him alot of movement, and box him. I think AA has to pressure Dirrell and make him fight, however, Froch didn't seem to hit Dirrell with anything too big that hurt him. AA is bigger puncher than Froch and if he lands clean, Dirrell can be in trouble. Dirrell needs to get a bit more under control and sit down on his shots and fight a whole 12 rounds (if it goes the distance that is). I like Dirrell to win this one in a 12 round decision because I believe he will not make the same mistakes from his fight with Froch. I think Ward beats the winner of this fight, with his superior boxing skills and determination. But Green-Bika should be a good one. Bika has knocked out his last 4 opponents, and Green is looking for his time to shine. I will call this fight about a week before it happens. Kessler-Froch, I'm going to go with Kessler, although I have never really been largely impressed by him. Likewise, Froch has not largely impressed me. But these guys are two of the top fighters at this weight and I believe that Kessler will have something to prove come fight night. Neither guy put forth their best performance in Stage One of the tourney, so I honestly see this as being the most competitive fight of this Stage. Froch has been doing some trash talking, so lets see it that will translate into a victory on April 17th. Who do you like in Stage Two? Poll added, please vote. They are pretty easy fights to call though. With maybe the exception of Kess-Froch. Kess-Froch is an easy fight to pick. :boxing: To bad I didn't see the thread when it started. I put down my predictions for the remainder though.

I got the Direll-AA right, with the expection of the DQ Now lets see how the Kessler-Froch fight goes.

Ward beats whoever he ends up fighting. He is really well rounded and I think this tournament is his coming out party. Kessler-Froch depends on Kessler's mental state. He is not mobile so Froch won't have anywhere near as hard a time hitting him as he did with Dirrell, but Kessler is a good enough boxer with good enough power that he should outbox Froch for a decision. Abraham-Dirrell is the toughest call of this round for me, it is all about Dirrell. Abraham will massacre Dirrell with ease if Andre fights the ugly way he fought Froch, but if Dirrell uses distance and activity he can easily outpoint Arthur. I think Dirrell is easily winning on points late in the fight when he gets stupid and gets KOed.

Arthur Abraham > Andre Dirrell Andre Ward > Allan Green Mikkel Kessler > Carl Froch

I agree with the above the people that say Dirrell will beat Abraham. Abraham has a painfully low-workrate. Which will get even lower if he isn't landing anything. I can't see Dirrell spending anytime on the inside and I can't see Arthur roughing up Dirrell like Froch did, and even if he does he's not being allowed to get away with it. Dirrell is going to win a wide-decision.

this stage is extremely interesting.. first round was much easier to decide. dirrell wasnt ready for a big fight, taylor surprised me with how good he fought buthe still came up short in the end, and kessler could fight ward 10 times he would never win a round. this is a harder round though, all fights can go eighter way. green is a far better fighter than he gets credit for, froch and kessler seem very evenly matched and dirrell has the toold to give arthur fits if hes able to put em togheter. in the end i have arthur by KO, kessler by KO and ward by decision. but anything can happen.

Green to beat bika and Ward to beat green Kessler to outwork Froch over the distance Abraham to grind down dirrell and knock him out late that is all

I've got Dirrell beating Abraham with his speed and movement. I've got Ward beating Green by decision. I'm undecided on Kessler - Froch. Kessler is the favourite obviously but i think Froch will cause him alot of trouble with his strength and dirty tactics. I can't pick a winner for that one.

Abraham/Kessler/Ward. Though AA-Dirrell and Froch-Kessler could be close fights.

Abraham Ward Kessler I'd be surprised if any of these fights go the other way. I'd like to see Dirrell beat Abraham but I think he's still too raw...

thanks for the warm welcome back sir! I think that Bika-Green fight will be very exciting man! I really wouldn't be surprised either way to be completely honest with you sir. AA will be the bigger puncher than Direll will have faced, but how will AA be able to deal with someone who will box him and not stand right in front of him. Hopefully Froch can show me a little bit more bro, and Kess for that matter. All good fights though and I'm looking forward to them. W'sup Webb. I don't see Bika beating mangler.
