For me its Gamboa whos gonna need to pull out a upset and not Mtagwa, I dont see Mtagwa getting beat by Gamboa unless its a robery, so for those of you dreaming about a Juanma-Gamboa showdown might change your minds already because we might see Mtagwa-Lopez rematch in 2010!
Mtagwa L Juan Manuel Lopez
Mtagwa L Bily Dib
Mtagwa L Martin Honorio
Mtagwa L Orlando Salido
Mtagwa L Agapito Sanchez
Mtagwa L Valdemir Pereira .... and the list go on
I think Gamboa may get tagged once or twice but that is nothing new. Once Gamboa starts to open up on Mtagwa, it is not going to look good for Rogers. Gamboa's speed is going to be the difference in this fight. Gamboa UD or late stoppage.
If Gamboa does as he promised..going for the KO..
I could definitely see him getting tagged and rocked..that's like trying to go all out to KO Clottey..obviously not comparing defense.but their chins..you gotta accumulate points..
Isn't this Gamboa's first fight on HBO?..he's gonna probably try to impress and get hurt..but I still see him taking it on points..
you know shit about boxing...this is his 3rd fight on HBO....2 main event

5k on Gamboa over Mtagwa ??? let me know
the hell does that even mean? He lost to billy dib. BILLY DIB.
Like Bernard Hopkins started his career with a L on his record, does that L might take him away from his toughness?? hell no
And he's also fought on Showtime as well as being a regular on Friday Night Fights, not too mention fought in the Olympics.
Gamboa isn't afraid of the big flashy lights and TV cameras.
I've seen him on showtime and ESPN..
I actually do remember the Jimenez fight now..I think it was on the card with Kirkland and Angulo..if I'm not mistaken...
but I mentioned HBO because that's where his main exposure will come from..to set up bigger fights like the Juanma Lopez fight..so he may try to go all out..and fall short..Mtagwa is no slouch..
Gamboa's speed & explosiveness should be the big difference. Mtagwa is a solid banger, but Lopez fought in the wrong territory. Gamboa will learn from that.

If you really believe that, you have the opportunity to make a whole lot of money on this fight.
