How many times do we have to tell you fools that they will not only be testing for epo`s? fool. They would be testing for all types of roids idiots.
Give as list of those other roids that cant be detected mr scientist because i want some. Since i retired from the military i been getting fat. I need to look like when i got out of bootcamp in 2000 all cut up. I need some of those undetectable roids so my job work fire me with there random drug test. I just want to get back in shape the easy way.
Really? Whenever I get really bored I just masturbate. I have never been bored enough to read the same bullshit I could read here over at ESPN's boards.
it be nice if i could at work but i got a wife to do that for me when im at home..just killing time.
well while that thread LOOKS like an ownage of Floyd and their lack of knowledge about the whole testing process I think the TS at ESPN left out one important aspect of the article he used
"Recently, the urine test was adapted to blood to perform detection of some new erythropoiesis stimulating agents."
so when the code was created (2003) urine was perfectly acceptable. Granted. Now what this says at the end is that blood testing has been adapted due to some of the newer EPO agents being detected.
they must have missed that one
also in tha thread they state that HGH testing has never produced a positive test. While that seems like a thread ender what that TS at ESPN also failed to mention was this.
"A test for hGH was first introduced at the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. The test to detect hGH abuse is a blood test."
Is the hGH test reliable? "
The current test is reliable.
Another test, in its final development stage, will be combined with the current test to further enhance the detection window for hGH abuse.
The concepts and development of both hGH tests have been systematically reviewed by international independent experts in such fields as hGH, endocrinology, immunoassay, analytical chemistry, etc. In addition, these tests are the outcome of nearly US$6 million in research over the course of more than 10 years.
Research was initiated by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the European Union, and then taken over by WADA when it was created and had adopted scientific research as one of its priority activities. "
and
Why have there been no positive cases for hGH so far? "The test was introduced at the Athens Olympic Games in 2004 and other major sport events. However, because hGH is often taken by doping athletes in the off-season to optimize performance, the test is most effective when implemented in a no-advance-notice out-of-competition strategy. "
so in other words a test for HGH is best used when it is in off season or i boxing's case, during training camp.
I just read the first post but that's assuming if urine picks up everything. We've heard here time and time again that it doesn't and that's why blood is required. There are so many different opinions on that alone that it could be considered controversial. In that case, Pac should have just accepted. The main point is why didn't he take the 14 day offer? 89% of us agreed he should have. That statement in its self speaks louder than any "point" anyone has brought up so far.
Bump! Flomos will avoid that article.
This is a genuine question. Based upon some reading here and in other places and the Victor Conte interview, the following things seem true.
-To be meaningful, testing must be random
-Urine catches most PED's
-NOTHING catches HGH. The blood test at this point seems like a failure. Even Dr. Caitlin, the head tester, wonders.
-Conte believes blood and urine are necessary for EPO detection. In his perfect world, he'd want random testing up to five days before the fight and no longer than ten days.
-WADA (the agency Floyd wanted to use) believes Urine is THE best way to test for EPO.
So who's right about the EPO between Conte, basically a salesman or WADA, the experts.
