Question: Did Arum want Pac vs PBF to be in Dallas?

Uncle Bob only cares about how much money he's going to make off each boxer. It makes no sense for him to make the fight with Floyd right now and only promote the fight for two months. He can promote the fight for a whole year and still make money off Manny by having him fight other Top Rank boxers. Arum played everyone for a fool and cost us the fight. I agree the Pacquiao fight was really on Dallas, unfortunately GB Promotions did'nt show up in the scheduled meeting w/ Jerry Jones... It seems GB Promotions is not really interested in the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight.. tough luck.GBP would definitely be interested in this fight because they're going to make millions off this fight. GBP gets a percentage of every Manny fight and they're going to make millions by representing Floyd in this negotiation. If I was GBP - I'd do whatever it takes to make this fight happen and make millions.

Arum and GBP have everything programmed...look Cotto lost to Clottey, now Clottey gets to fight PAC and have a huge Pay, PBF will fight another GBP fighter (marquez gets more PPV rating and gets Hatton), after that maybe Mosley (Big $PPV), and after that they´ll meet at the end of 2010 or beginning of 2011...Instead of milking 1 fight and loosing one of them PPV and rep power a bit, they will get 1 fight in PAC or probably 2, same to PBF before the final and biggest money fight...along with more promotion time. It seems that Arum has some type of financial thing going on with Jerry Jones and wanted Pac to face Mayweather in Dallas Stadium. And since Mayweather insisted on it happening in Vegas {Along with the testing debacle} Arum turned totally against the fight. I think there is a lot more reasons WHY the fight between Floyd & Pac didn't happen and it has something to do with deals Arum was looking to make on the side. Probably, but who fukkin knows. There are a lot of conspiracy theories going around, but I could see some truth behind them. When the Olympic style test came up, Arum made no effort to meet Team Floyd halfway. During the Pac-Oscar fight negotiations, Arum practically begged Pac to sign the deal even though the purse was a lot less than Manny wanted. So Arum is willing to budge on certain issues, but I think he was looking for a way out of this fight. I don't know who to believe anymore. Arum killed the fight on purpose, imagine the feeling in his stomach when Pac loses to Mayweather and GBP, he'd rather Clottey beat him and set up a rematch, and continue to play his childish game.

I was thinking the same thing yesterday. Even posted it in a few of the Clottye-Pac threads. It was my first thought when I heard Pac-Clottey was going to be held at Texas Stadium. How much truth there is to this theory we really dont know.

Wasn't MGM being held for Floyd on March 13? If this is the case, Arum would need alternative venue for Pac, Im guessing Texas was open and there were already some negotiations between the parties, Jerry Jones being excited on showing off his new arena and all, that made that negotiation go pretty smoothly Here's the thing J.Jones wants that stadium to turn a profit and boxing is a great choice to fill up open slots. But, you need good fights that will fill the seats and I doubt Pac vs Clottey can do it - But it is a good start. Arum has big stadium ideas .... he just needs the right matchups to make it a profitable reality. Right now I don't see many fights filling even 25% of that stadiums capacity ... with PPV and online streams cutting into the paying seat potential.
