I'd go with Smoger, I think Bayless stopped a couple early and acted unsure a few other times. I used to think Joe Cortez because he was the best for a long time but he started to give star treatment during fights. Mercante Sr. and M. Lane were good in their time. I even liked Richard Steele before Chavez-Taylor and Tyson-Ruddock but I think the criticism got to him.

I'd say Smoger as far as not getting involved with the fight as much and letting the fighters duke it out without early stoppages.
