Ref would have still called the fight off after looking into his glazed over eyes. There were too many twinkling stars and cute little birds flying around Mike's head for the ref not to have called it off. I think Mike's futile scrambling for his mouthpiece didn't help his position either, but I do think if he had left the mouthpiece alone he would have beaten the count. I've seen refs let fighters in worse states continue.
