For those of you (pactards) who continue to bash Mayweather need to be ashamed. You can't be fans of the sport if you question a fighter who has beat 14 world champions, is undefeated, and is p4p champ of the world. A fighter who was a pro for 1 year and became champion after beathing a great fighter(G. Hernandez). Hasn't lost a fight his entire career. Has the best defence since the great Pernell whitaker. I do understand your complaints about his welterweight fights, but I think the best is yet to come. A fighter like floyd understands that he can't be called the best until he beats the best. So 2010 I know for a fact that Mayweather will fight Mosley, and hopefully Pacquiao can detox so that Floyd can beat his cheating ass. I predict 2010 fighter of the year will be none other than Floyd MayweatherJr. Oh and no more J. Cesar Chavez Jr is also undefeated comments. To those that say that dumb shit I ask? Has chavez beat 14 world champs and been rated p4p? HELL NO
Oh and my top 25.

Floyd is ATG top 30-40 based on his career below 140, his career 104+ bar the ODLH win is not great and there are Questions about every single fight at 147 and even bigger questions about the fights he didn't take at 147.
Pac is much higher ATG than floyd, both his resume and accomplishments are way ahead.

Now tell me, if Pu$$y B!tch Gayweather did not use a PED to numb his hands..you still think he could have beaten all his opponents??? Have you seen the video floating around where he admits taking this drug??? If not go source it out...they had a scene where he stopped during a fight coz of his hands...now do you really think he could have had an unbeaten record if he did not use this drug??? If you say yes then you and any other Gayweather fans are just..plain and simple...DUMB
He was also weight drained when he fought pac. Not mayweather.
and FMJ only fight boxers who tailor-made for him and let them bloated 3 division north...wow what an ATG alright
Lets see...
Cotto vs Margocheato
Margocheato vs Mosley
Mosley vs Cotto
Clottey Vs Margocheato
Clottey vs Cotto
Pacquaio vs Cotto
Soon Pacquaio Vs Clottey
Tell me what name is missing....
Floyds..
So how in the hell can he be a ATG?
He was also weight drained when he fought pac. Not mayweather.
I know, not denying that fact even if it was DLH's fault.
Still doesn't make ANY win against old DLH too great, both fights were just showcases for both May and Pac.
Well you can say he fought a slighlty younger, and heavier DLH. Also a undamaged Hatton.
Younger don't cut it, DLH was already old and shot when he fought May and Pac.
Some of the people in this thread probably didn't see Floyd pre-147...
so?? its not what he did in the past but rather what he had done lately to achieve his legacy.....after settling at 147 and then avoid the top 10 in that division makes u a an ATG??
Please dont stoop to the low of Pactards.
Id say Mayweather is a Top30-40 ATG, but no higher as of yet.
Is Top30-40 top at all ? May is only good in fighting who he has clear advantage of.He even cheats in weights (with JMM). If he is that great, he should just fight without so many running preconditions.
Only in his mind. He didn't fight anyone he knew would beat him. Pacquiao, Margarito, Cotto, Mosley, Clottey, Berto. He just waits for them to beat the hell out of eachother.
His record is all he has and if he fought these fighter before they killed eachother he would be too hurt to beat anyone. He could've been like Whitaker, but with the loses good boxer, but never the best. Just the fighter who ran from the rest.
You have never seen the fighters that they have beat. Look stop reading bio's. Get some tape and watch the fighters you speak of. I'm not saying they are not great, I' m saying how do you rank them over fighters you have seen in the ring. Just because some book ranks them top this or top that don't mean shit to me. I go by what I know and what I have seen.
Ok so you beat 10-15 HOF'ers and you only lose 20 fights out of 300 fights. But, there is no tape of you so you should not be ranked ahead of Floyd? Or Pac? Or Whitaker?
If you go from Lightweight-heavyweight and be a top level fighter in each division. But, there is no tape of you should not be ranked ahead of certain fighters?
Where is your top 25 list at? I am very curious to see it....
The same way you ranked them now. Everything is ranked on who you beat...

Every fighter thats in the Hall of fame has some kind of great accomplishments. My point is how do you rank fighters you have never seen?

One you know about the records they have you study who they fight. You read articles of that day on what reporters had to say about that fight. I can tell you he was a non stop punching machine with a good chin. Only suffered 1 KO loss in 300 fights. And, that was early on in his career which was due because he suffered a broken arm. There this thing called the Hall of fame and Greb beat HOF'ers like Blackburn, Miske, Gibbons, Chip. Beat former champs like McCoy, top fighters like Smith, Livinsky, I think Harry Greb being able to win 260 pro fights only loosing 20 fights should mean he is one hell of a fighter don't you? He also beat Rosenbloom, Loughlan, Walker, Tunney. I mean his resume is nuts. All them are in the HOF...
Sam Langford was a top fighter at lightweight, welterweight, middleweight, and heavyweight. How crazy is that for him to be a top level fighter in those 5 divisions. And, he didn't get that many chances of winning a belt cuz of the color of his skin. If what he did is not greatness then I don't know what is. Like I said maybe you should do you homework more when it comes to the history of the sport.

See that quote right there says it all. Don't throw names out there if you never seen them fight. I don't go by what you tell me or some book you read.
How do you do your homework with nothing to study?
