This sh*t is getting ridiculous, and I'm really angry what boxing has become. This will greatly divide boxing and diminish the upsurge popularity it has gained. It's not Floyd vs. Pac anymore but Golden Boy Promotions vs Top Rank. Future great boxing match-ups are in jeopardy and we fans will be greatly affected. This is all started because of Floyd Sr. who despised Pacquiao so much that he would go to great lenghts to discredit his accomplishments and make accusations with no merit. I also blame NSAC for not taking control of the situation when it first started instead they're laying low and watching the two hard headed promoters deal with it. NSAC has the last say if the fight happens or not so therefore they should of mediated this drug testing issue all along. No fighter or promoter should dictate the rules to their heart's content. If they have a complaint about the drug testing policy, they should file a complaint to NSAC. Let them handle the issue and implement a better testing procedure if need be.
get off pacmans dick already, damn
there both to blame and pac for not doing the 14day cut off as of now
is to blame a lil more .. if your going to post be unbiased u clown
LOL @ "Boxing was doing fine with floyd out"
righ, look at all the attention our sport got just off his comeback alone.. go kill yourself
I believe the only way Manny will agree to 14 day cut off drug testing procedure if NSAC made it mandatory but since it's not he will not give into Mayweather's demand. Manny doesn't want to give Floyd the mental edge, he's smarter than that and his pride won't allow him.
promoters nowadays has too much say into who and what fights will happen. They dictate if someone will be fighting for a title or not, making the alphabet titles even more irrelevant. Now, they prefer to keep fights within their stables, because if two fighters from the same stable fight, then the share of BOTH fighters stay with the SAME promoter. Its all about the money, and to hell with the fighters, the public, the titles.
Yea Bob Arum's ego is out of this world. I know it's not just his fault. But that mother****er has some ego on him.
Bob Arum has been in been business for like 40 years now? He's old school and his ego is as big as it can be. He has the mentality that since he's been in business the longest, he will not agree to anything unless in his mind he'll come out ahead. Just like the old saying "You can't teach an old dog a new trick."
Yeah, this is one big circus and it's a shame boxing can even put together a fight between the top two biggest stars who are in the same weight class? Everyone is to blame. I am a big Pac fan, but I am a boxing fan first. Arum is probably shrugging his shoulders, "Ah shucks, at least Pac is fighting another one of my guys." Probably what he wanted all along. I am sure both sides could have met half way if there weren't so many egos involved.
This is worse than Arum vs. Don King and the HBO vs. Showtime feuds that happened in the 90's. But the biggest fights were still made back then because the public demanded it: Trinidad vs. De la Hoya, Whitaker vs. Chavez, Lewis vs. Tyson, etc.
There is still time this year for fight to be made. If it doesn't get made, it goes to show you how far the sport has really fallen and how its run by business men, lawyers, and greedy crooks who don't give a damn about boxing's legacy because they have made so much money from fighters and fans that they will be rich long after they ruined boxing.
Nah.. Floyd is.. Pac vs. Oscar happened with little problem same with hatton who was a GBP fighter, Mosley-Margarito happened, Cotto-mosley too.. then floyd's comes in with the " I want it my way " attitude against another superstar.. what was he thinking?? And it's not like this is the 1st time floyd fails to fight a guy the public wants him to fight.. think about it.. Boxing was doing fine with floyd out, the fights the public wanted were actually happening and if not for floyd coming back we would have probably have pac-mosley in march signed and delivered..
