Manny Pacquiao has reached an agreement to defend his WBO welterweight title against Joshua Clottey on Mar. 13, Top Rank promoter Bob Arum told SI.com.
Chris Mannix, SI.com
How many tix can they really sell and if they do great gate #'s can they use that as leverage when Pac/May comes back around? :boxing:
If its true though, I am glad for my boy Clottey. Im sick of boxing always having like a handfull of guys getting love, if that. Clottey deserves a spotlight and so does other guys like Bradley and so on
I agree with the Love for Clottey and Bradley but not now. Boxing needs this *Pac vs Floyd fight
Where is the information about this being at Cowboys Stadium? I haven't heard that anywhere....
Mannix of SI.com broke the story. Rafael mentioned during his chat.

wow.
its not a bad fight,
but its a letdown from a pac-mayweather fight. big letdown.
potentailly one of the greatest fights ever, cancelled, and replaced with clottey- pac, you can kinda understand why people are mad.
Cowboys Stadium? What the hell?
I like the fight and all, but no one I know is going to make the trek out to Texas unless Mayweather is the man in the opposite corner. Bad idea, I doubt this fight even comes close to selling this place out.
Most people don't even know who Clottey is. Bring this to Vegas on March 13th please so the dummies like me who booked for that weekend can still somewhat get our money's worth. LOL
Dan Rafael of ESPN...
"OK, Freaks, we have breaking news.
That was Vinny Scolpino, Josh Clottey's manager. He told me he and Bob talked money in the last hour or two and they have agreed on their end of the fight. He said Clottey was ecstatic and will be returning to the US from Ghana on Monday. Nothing signed yet, not official but their side is in."
Nail in the coffin.
LOL@ peeps who don't like this fight. :D
I dont think people dont like it. I think they just dont like it more than a Mayweather fight. I think before recently it was understandable and everyone wouldve accepted but since Floyd's team made 14 days clear, I dont think anyone is excited about any other fight now. I also think Clottey is good but people would much rather see Pac fight Bradley or Mosley

Arum is doing it big but no way can he use that as leverage. I think we all know that Floyd aint going to take less money against anyone ever again, including Oscar or Pac. He's atleast getting 50
