how did this statement get lost? Team Mayweather should bring this back up...once again, Team Pac's OWN words are killing them. They crying about a 30 day cutoff, but LOOK at this statement from Roach from December 23, 2009 by the Associated Press
"If they give me a 5-day window or something like that I have no problem with it," Roach said. "When they've drawn blood from Manny in the past he feels weaker for three or four days. It may be mental, but it's there."

Floyd is offering 9 MORE days with the 14, so this should be accepted....right???
What happened to all of this?
1. Needle Phobia (no issues before, and Manny even snacks during tat work)
2. Disruptive to his training (Yet Shooting movies, preparing for concerts not an issue)
3. Will make him weak LOL.......
4. Superstitions LOL...... this one really they must have been joking...or must of been lost in translation.....
5. Manny was disrespected and will not then do the test out of principle (yet they looking at Paulie as an option LOL......)
Manny has some explaining to do about why he is just NOW willing to do the 14 days.
the 24 day's cut off came only after HBO release the video for Hatton PAC 24/7 and I know Manny did a blood test 19 day's before the Clottey fight so obviously giving blood is not the problem and team Pac just playing hard ball
Yeah he has asked for a cut off not because he thinks it effects him, but because he doesn't want Mayweather to beat him on the negotiating table. This whole blood thing, you've seen the video of him taking blood 24 days before the Hatton fight, that guy was not effected at all, he didn't even look like he cared. What he is wanting is to win the negotiating battle and Floyd is doing the same....they both think they the biggest stars and so both want to be treated in such a way. Floyd wants random testing, Manny wanted a 30 day cut off...so they both came to 24 and 14 days...its all about signing the contract and saying "I got the better deal". I think this is important to Pacquiao and Mayweather.
I'm just not buying this right here brother.
I think it's something like Roach seriously only needed 3-5 days, but Mannys ego was all busted up and he wouldnt agree to shit, so freddie had to change his story a bunch of times to support his fighter. Laammmeee.
Sorry, but I stopped reading there. He cares so much that he said that he lost to Morales because he got his blood taken "too close to the fight".

Lets be real here, Floyd Jnr and his camp don't really think Pacquiao is on any drugs. The only people who think he is, Paulie Malignaggi and people who hate on Pacquiao. The reason Mayweather and his camp bought this drug thing out is to get into Pacquiao's head, which is what Mayweather is great at...psyching his opponent before they even get into the ring. He wants to get Pacquiao in an angry state of mind when he gets into that ring so he can toy with him, angry fighters don't fight smart. Now Pacquiao probably doesn't care when his blood gets taken, he just see's this as a dignity thing and is angry that people think he is on PED's. He is therefore being stubborn, his camp are being stubborn and the Mayweathers pretty much have Pacquiao where they want. I honestly think Floyd can beat Pacquiao and I think Floyd is 100% confident he can. Even if Pacquiao was on drugs, I'd still put my money on Floyd...that's not to say Pacquiao has no chance though....and honestly Pacquiao is one of my favourite fighters but I can't see him beating Floyd. I wouldn't be surprised if Mayweather and Pacquiao fight end of this year...and there is no drug testing....Mayweather has done the damage and gotten into Pacquiao's head already.

I agree with this. Floyd is playing mind games as usual and trying to give himself an advantage before he even steps foot in the ring. Floyd is not just a boxer, he's got game and loves to get one over his opponents before laying a glove to them.

5 day, 17 day, it doesn't matter. Roach doesn't negotiate for Pacquiao, he trains him.
Roger said something about Floyd being able to beat Pacqiuao with or without that shit in him. Yet they still turned down Pac's compromise.
Noone complains about that. Too many double-standards against Pac
LOL. It does matter. and Roach does do some negotiating for Manny, lets be real here.
Common sense tells me that if I were the biggest target of suspicions of being a PED user, I won't be touching any PED within a ten-foot pole at any time while the world closely watches my every move.
Agree................
It takes both fighters to make the fight. Making the argument that both sides are at fault because the fight hasn't been made regardless of the apparent circumstances is incorrect in my opinion. Mayweather has more than compromised enough and I think that the fight hasn't been made because Pacquiao doesn't want to fight Mayweather. I think that is a valid opinion, and it's supported by the numerous lies and contradictions we've seen from team Pacquiao.
But as we are seeing here, and throughout this forum, arguments can be made for both sides, and you can't change peoples opinions on the matter. I could make the same arguments you have made, just depends on who you talk to.
You continue to harp on this "there's no proof" argument, and again that tips your hand. 1st of all it's 2010, all professional athletes have to deal with suspicions of illegal PED use. Otherwise they wouldn't be drug tested period. So save that "there's no proof it's, wrong to suspect him of PED use" argument. 2nd, you don't know what Mayweather and his team's suspicions are based on. You don't know what they may have heard being in the boxing loop regarding Pacquiao. What difference does it make anyway? Are you aware that there are ways of beating the current drug testing system that they use in boxing? If Mayweather suspects that Pacquiao is using things that can't be detected by the current drug testing system for whatever reason, then he has the right to ask for more stringent testing. Pacquiao has the right to refuse, and we as the public have the right to draw obvious conclusions. Given the lies and contradictions we've heard from team Pacquiao for why they won't agree to the stricter testing, I think conclusions are obvious. Pacquiao doesn't really want this fight.
But then surely if there's way to beat the current drug testing, surely then there would be ways to beat the extra testing that would be used for this match? I'm no expert on the matter, by any stretch of the imagination, but has any other athlete been caught for the use of PEDs or HGH? And if all athletes are to be suspicious of illegal PED use, how come it is only now, in this particular fight that it has come to light? Actual suspicions or mind games? Who knows, but it's out of hand.
I doubt that you know much about defamation or what it takes to prove it in court, but that hasn't stopped you from talking as if you do. So why not speak for Pacquiao and why he isn't suing Malignaggi who came flat out and said that he's dirty which is something that Mayweather has never done. It's extremely difficult to prove a defamation case. Neither De La Hoya nor Mayweather jr. have come out and said that Pacquiao is guilty of using PEDs. the only person from Mayweather's camp who has directly said that he believes that he uses PEDs is Floyd sr., and he didn't do it with any malice. He was just giving his opinion, he even admitted that he didn't know for sure and had no proof. That's not defamation and it doesn't take a genius to see that. Pacquiao has no case.
I wasn't trying to come across like I know lots about it, you just said you can't be sued for having an opinion, all I stated was that you can. I not once said Pacquiao is in the right for not suing Malignaggi, which if he's going to sue, then he should have, but that's off topic. I'm pretty sure that Roger Mayweather also came out with comments saying he thinks Pac is on something and Oscar also inferred (or stated) in his article on the Ring blog piece, comparing other cheat punches to Pacs (Moseley and Vargas). Now I'm not saying those are possible grounds for suing for defamation, but it wasn't only jsut Mayweather Sr to comment about it.
The problem with citing Pacquiao's willingness to compromise is that he and his team have been so inconsistent that it's impossible to believe anything that they say. Team Pacquiao has said a whole lot of things, contradicted themselves 3-4 times as far as what they're willing to agree to, but so far they haven't agreed to anything as far as random blood testing goes. You have to call things as they are man. I know sounds nice and diplomatic to say that both sides are at fault for the fight not being made, but the facts of the situation say different. The facts point to Pacquiao being the reason the fight isn't made right now. Who knows, maybe they want to fight Mayweather later on in the year or something. Maybe he's just dirty and scared of the random blood testing. I don't, but I'm sure he doesn't want to fight Mayweather right now.
I know they have been consistent, but that's the problem when he has 3 people representing him. I'm sure he has agreed to random blood testing, to an extent, and this is the only problem, he doesn't want it to be drawn before 24days. I'm not even sure it's Pac that doesn't want to fight, maybe his handlers.
It looks like you're defending Pacquiao over the top, because that's what you're doing. Mayweather has compromised more than enough, this thread alone is pretty much proof that Pacquiao just doesn't want the fight. He's already agreed to fight Clottey on the same date.
I'm only doing that as you are defending Mayweather, I'm only offering a different opinion to yours. And I still don't know how this thread is proof, a comment from Freddie Roach? But then we are back where we began. :lol1: Is the Clottey fight confirmed now?
Ofcourse im no doctor, but common sense tells me that If i can flush it out in 48 hours, Ill use it up until 2 days before the fight regardless of how heavy or light im working in camp.
