I'm watching collazo/berto right now and collazo went to bertos body a lil bit and it slowed down berto down.
So if mosley can go to the body no way berto will win.
Also putting 10k on mosley over berto if anyone wants to bet just pm me.
That is the key to this fight for Mosley. At this point in his career, he doesnt have the legs to chase Berto around all night. If he works Berto with body shots for a while I see a really bad beatdown coming for Berto. The only way I see Berto winning this fight is litterally running all fight and potshotting.
Berto squares up way too much....you can't do that against Shane :nonono:.....Berto will become part of the already classic Shane Mosley career KO highlight reel.....Mosley has some of the most memorable, some of the most devastating, spectacular KO's of any top flight active fighter!!.....Berto will feel the power and then try to skate his way to the finish line......but all exits will get shut down and then his lights will be shut out!!......you won't beat Shane without a good respectable jab.....it won't happen!!.....Berto will have a round or two where he shines.....but when the rust comes off Shane by round 3 or 4.......the Power punch buffet will be open and Berto will be gettin' fed all he can eat......the over hand right and the left hook will be knockin' lil' Berto from rope to rope......DiBella might have to run in the ring again, like he did when JT went to sleep in Germany!!.......Shane got this.....then Floyd and Manny will be all on his dick.....watch!!!.....all roads lead to Shane Mosley, Oscar been said this!!!
I was gonna say 25k but i'll stick with 10k if that's what you want.
This is my first bet on here so you'll have to let me know how to do it etc, but you can see i'm good for the points and i'm not gonna **** you over cause it's all just a bit of fun.
he might go broke if he went too high. he's trying to take on everybody.
i got you both....10K?

I was simply responding to his claim that Berto is naturally stronger. What that means in the fight is something else and I agree with you too an extent but being big and strong can certainly be a benefit as your able to take punches better and have your punches do more damage as well. You might be able to take 2 and land 1 in return and have better success then the other guy.
In this fight I do expect Mosley to probably be the one getting tagged more often but we know he can take a punch while Berto's ability is more suspect and I personally don't think he's going to be able to handle the return fire.
you're absolutely right....mosley's never been stopped, and i don't see him getting stopped here either.....dude has a beard, and that's 1 point nobody can argue.
Everyone thought Margarito was stronger than Shane too and Shane was pushing him backwards after the 5th round....
Berto can't box worth shit IMO...He fights flat footed and has no inside game. His stamina is questionable and he has looked beatable against much lesser opponents. Forbes was able to back him off with right hands. Forbes Steve 2lb Forbes from the contender who was in his face all night. If Berto couldn't hurt Forbes you really think he got something for Shane? What do you got your little 200k points I bet you 25k that Shane takes the fight by either decision or stoppage....Put your points up playa....Lefty
This ia a good point my friend. Margarito ate punches all night he didn't see coming from Cotto. He kept coming his chin was world class and so was his stamina. Shane's body work and power punches to the head put Tony The Cement Mixer to bed in the 9th round. Shanes two biggest weapons in that fight weren't his left hook or his over hand right my friend. It was his right hook to the body and his left jab....If he uses his jab and body punching in this fight it is EASY WORK....Put those Points up playa.....Lefty
those same fast punches were enough for cotto to beat shane tho...u forget?
the margarito that mosley fought was just exposed as a cheater, literally 30 mins. before the fight, surely you can fathom the guy was a bit "distracted."
on a side note, what strong, fast boxers has mosley been able to beat?
comparing mosley beating margarito, but losing to cotto furthers my opinion that mosley loses to berto, not the other way around.
I'll still be here. Maybe you will get a new alt.
never had an alt....don't much see the point....if i'm wrong, i'm wrong, and i'll eat my words.....
how big and strong you are is irrelevant, if you keep getting hit w/ punches you can't see.
mosley may win, i just don't see it as clear-cut, as most of you suggest.

I know you just laid a bet on for this fight but I don't suppose I can also bet with you that Mosley will win by decision/TKO?

I feel like Berto never really recovered much from that first straight punch that nearly put him on the ground. By the time he really had his senses back he was fairly winded.
this is gonna be a war sugar shane mosley is a warrior and he wont back down from the younger lion in andre berto this fight has me hella excited even though i have shane mosley winning the fights by close decision i wouldnt be shocked if andre berto ends up beating mosley
I agree with everything except strength. I think Berto is naturally stronger than Mosely but this will not come in to play as an advantage because of the style of the fight.

my opinion....stop using other fighter's past fights as knowledge of what they'll do against a particular opponent, unless there is a propensity shown against a particular "style" of fighter.
once again, it's my OPINION berto beats shane....shane didn't look good against mayorga, lost to cotto in a close but clear decision win for cotto (despite how you saw the fight), and looked good against an exposed and non-boxing statue in margarito....
i got 10K on berto....sup?

I don't know about that. Mosley is strong, he's a former weight lifter and supposedly can bench 300+ pounds (though I'm even a little skeptical about this but I would imagine he can bench a lot for his weight).

I'm usually not one to really give a damn how much someone benches when it comes to boxing though perhaps it could come into play during something like clinching plus Mosley does hit hard and is tough as nails and both of these things are an indication of his strength. Berto is obviously muscular but I'm not sure how strong he actually is.
