Manny Pacquiao does not need to fight Floyd Mayweather, Manny will earn more money from his lawsuit than the $40 million he would recieve for fighting Floyd.. Manny could be looking at upto $100 million+ in damages and the vibes are that he will not be dropping his lawsuit, so expect Floyd Mayweather to be still fighting well into his 40s to pay back the lawsuit damages
Mayweather Lawsuit
Agreed and rightfully so. Here is the problem once the accusation was put out there and no doubt that Floyd was quite aware of the matter, then you will have a certain percentage of the public that will forever believe that Manny did in fact take something to enchance his performance.
This will never go away and Manny's acomblishments will always be in question.
Why should Manny agree to something never used before in professional boxing and if you know boxers, my son was a professional, they all have very serious superstitions, putting a glove on a specific hand first, climbing through the ropes left foot first, touching the ring apron before the bell rings, certain foods, drinks, etc. So yes, I believe that Manny does in fact not want to be part of a change in blood taking that was never required before.
Amazing that Shane Mosely had the nerve to comment on this after he admitted to taking something before winning over Oscar or that Cotto chimes in as well, wonder why? Just looking to become part of the equation in getting a fight with Manny; Manny is where the big purses are.
What Floyd and his family did to try to get some mental advantage over Manny has backfired, not only could it mean no fight, they have managed to cast another gray area over the already dying sport of boxing.
This is why MMA is filling arenas' , unlike boxing matches, few controversial decisions, good refereeing, judging and tough guys that just go at, not spoiled little babies.
Manny has done for boxing what Ali did during his time, now a bunch of fools come along and tear it down, well that hurt boxing not Manny because those that know and support him will remain faithful and Manny will make money no matter who he picks to fight. Just a shame that this put's another black eye on a beat up sport.:boxing:
Where is the evidence that Manny has lost money, sponsors, endorsements as a result of the Pacroid scandal? Only money he lost is the 40 million he declined, voluntarily.

Source?? If none then just close thread.
Do any of these pactards understand how the US justice system works?
Lawsuits are filed everyday in this country, and a majority of them never go the distance. Its more likely that Pac loses more money in lawyer fees, and the Delahoya/Mayweathers get off on an apology.
Theres at least a dozen way Pac can lose this case. The suit will probably get thrown out most likely.
you could not be more wrong... i suggest you take a look at and read the Lawsuit document

Defamation law in the United States is much less plaintiff-friendly than its counterparts in European and the Commonwealth countries, due to the enforcement of the First Amendment.
In 1974, in Gertz v. Robert Welch, Inc., (418 U.S. 323), the Supreme Court suggested that a plaintiff could not win a defamation suit when the statements in question were expressions of opinion rather than fact. In the words of the court, "under the First Amendment, there is no such thing as a false idea".

That prediction is too much dude! Ill say Floyd Jr. will end up being Coward and fight any one he could fight to pay the damages, For me i dont care if they will Pay a $, as long as they will start respecting any boxer around than to say im the best im the best, yet avoiding the best fighter around him.

...I think the damages are listed on the paperwork as $75,000...that's nothing in todays market...
Kabuki Joe
Arum is hoping to use the court action as leverage to negotiate the fight. He knows Floyd is financially screwed and GBP sure dont want to be taking on this case.
Bob doesnt actually want the case to go ahead IMO , he hasnt got Mannys interests at heart, only money interests at heart
And who benefits from all of this? Arum. He is part engineering the whole thing..All the court costs and lawyer fees, his fees etc all comes out of Mannys pocket
Each time I take a look into this forum I see it's gotten even worse. Now PBF stans aren't the only dinnermashers who are screaming about their fighter's fortune, but Pac's are as well? Misery loves company I suppose.
