Look for news of a ''breakthrough'' in negotiations over the weekend/early next week.
The 'lawsuit'' that Pac is supposedly taking out will slowly dissappear and will be forgotten about.
This has been a text book promotion so far by everybody involved - even the majority of hardcore fans of the sport on this site and others who have lived through this crap in almost every super fight involving GBP/Top Rank fighters have been fooled.
No doubt you will still be crying and believing Arums horseshit about Pac v Paulie/Foreman/Jesus Christ etc which 'he is negotiations for and can all be made in a hour''
Or PBF V Mathew Hatton lol.

...I kind of think that you are right...when I saw that Manny was only asking for $75k I thought that they were playing us because that's nothing to GBP...Oscar walks around with that in his pocket...it would be genius and take fight promotion to a new level; make some wild accusations, get everyone fired-up about it and make it the grudge match of the century...heck, a measley $75k lawsuit that would have the subject in newspapers, tv and websites everywhere....brilliant!!!!!...but then on the other side it would would mean that all those involved are crooks, even Manny for going along with it...it's surely something to think about...
Kabuki Joe
Mayweather has a lot to lose. I'm convinced he's in serious financial shit right now.
Floyds ploy is to wait for all his opponents to beat each other so he either doesnt need to fight them or they come shop worn- I am sure thats what he wanted from the Cotto Pac fight..but Pac came through it ok.
I would like to see the fight in september - let Floyd sweat abit longer.

thanks 4 posting this....hopefully this fight will be on :)
Fight won't happen unless Manny agrees to random "Blood" testing.
if Manny does that, he will be the only boxer in history to do so... Manny will make more money from his lawsuit than from a fight with Mayweather

Who knows Mannys never let his fans down. He might changed his mind do the test, beat Floyd Jr and beat them in the court, Double win much better
I'm not fooled...and hey I hope I am fooled and proven wrong because that means we get the fight right. But I just think with everything going on it just doesn't seem like it's gunna happen. And I just think everyone involved is to stubborn for their own good.
Ask yourself some questions bro - who is PAC going to fight, and for how much money if he doesnt face PBF?
Foreman - Pac has just started training - if he was going to move up in weight to 154lb this would realisitcally require a much longer build up then three months. Roach said the other day ''' Foreman is tall, and rangy that would be a tough fight''
Malignaggi - Paulie has already come out and said the fight is unlikely - plus he has been the most vocal in his suspitions about Pac. Roach said the other day when asked about this fight ''No, we would kill him and I dont want to hurt Paulie''
JMM - First off he is controlled by GBP. He is also the WBO lightweight Champ and has an offer on the table to face Ricky Hatton on May most likely in Vegas.
Who's left? Tim Bradley - he is promoted by Gary Shaw and heavilly alligned to Showtime - to my knowledge he has never appeared on HBO either.
Just apply some common sense - this is bigger then two fighters and even the promoters themselves. You have TV companies, sponsors, the casino's/bookmakers, the media all pushing for this fight and all with vested interests.

Do you also believe in Santa Clause?

Somebody just posted a thread exactly like this.
Why does everyone need to make their own thread..no offense.
BUt yea I don't see this fight happening at all. Like i said before hopefully I'm wrong.
Yeah point taken about the other thread, but I didnt see it before I posted otherwise I wouldnt have done it. It's annoying that the forum has just been about this PAC/PBF horsehit for the lat few weeks - especially as its all gamesmanship.
I'm glad in a way that you and many others are fooled by this stuff as it will create alot of excitment and some good talking points when it is offically announced next week.
I forgot to credit HBO's marketing team who are probably the real brains behind this ''dispute/publicity angle'' - gives them some great material to use for the 24/7 series.
