Thought this was an interesting question. I know Lennox is one. I remember Lennox Lewis saying that he never faced a south paw but he sparred with a couple.
I completely understand this but I really do believe it's an interesting question. What if Mayweather didn't face a southpaw? We wouldn't have known of those weaknsses.
Personally there is no left handed fighter at Lewis's time that would have beaten him.
Yes they are more difficult to handle simply because it's like stepping into new shoes that you havent worn very often, however it only enhances you if you win.
The thing with Lewis is that the top names of his resume are better than Byrd and Sanders.
Beating a south paw that is a HOF or ATG will definitely mean you deserve credit, but a fighter has weeks to prepare and if they are a good enough fighter, it shouldn't pose to much of a difference over all.
right
no he wasn't
Oh ok I couldn't remember if Wepner was. I know Rocky was lol and he said the idea of the movie was from Wepner so I thought maybe...
Of course it shouldn't. Southpaws are just something you have to adjust to. Would you really rank anyone who faced a southpaw higher then someone who didn't? Let's talk Ali???

Ali TKO'd Richard Dunn, who was a Southpaw from the UK according to BoxRec.
Now, shouldn't this be an important criteria when rating a fighter? Serious question.

This is a damn hard question.
I'm not gonna lie, I don't know most ATG'S let alone their opponents lol.
Wonder how Lewis would have done agaisnt one.
Lewis would have done great with his hard left hook and straight right.
I don't think so. Lewis didn't fight any southpaw 'cause southpaw are very rare in the HW division. I think that the first southpaw champions has been Moorer, followed by Sultan Ibragimov in the entire HW history.
I even read some paper sheet about the fact that southpaw are very rare as much as the weight increase. It's true, just think about how many southpaw are in the WW division and think about HW and cruiserweight.
I think Ali never faced a southpaw too.
Chris Byrd was a southpaw who was champ in Lennox Lewis era.
And, was Chuck Wepner a southpaw?

Mike Tyson :)
Not sure if they meant now or ever.
I laughed at it, even right now :p
Honestly I think that Haye needs to fight someone who can hit him and move to test his power.
I believe a Klit has the size and style to beat Valuev by KO.
I lke Haye a lot, and feel he can beat Vitali if he has the stamina. Wlad is a 50/50 since he has a fast jab
PS. I believe Vitali has the raw power. Haye has the speed but on a machine Vitali, even at 39. He just can't set himself as well but his opposition are better than Haye's.
I don't know, Vitali doesn't have the same power anymore. I'd say Wlad has the most power.
I think that if it's gonna be a 100 ATG who hasn't faced a southpaw, it might be someone who is damn good who faced top opposition without a southpaw in the divsion at the time.
Lewis was damn dominant and the only guy in the ehavyweight that was southpaw who was a good fighter was corrie sanders?
Anyone else?
David Haye? They mean right now, correct?

Happens in films. When you are excited you miss things and visually get a lot but audio kinda gets cut out.
Once I rewatch a fight, I'm not gonna lie, my scoring can even change because I don't have as much adreniline. Also big fights are like 3 am here if it's in the US lol.
I pick up on things that I havent also.
Just googled who is the hardest heavyweight puncher.

Yeah, I was watching Mayweather vs. Zab Judah and Lewis said he never faught a south paw, I can't believe I've watched that fight about 20+ times and now managed to catch that.
