I don't give a shit about what Mayweather wants, but when accusations go so far as to make your previous opponents doubt you, then now is when Pac needs to man up and take the tests.
He needs to do it out of respect for Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton. When they start questioning Pac for their losses instead of themselves, you know it's time for Pac to abandon his superstitions and prove to the world that his greatness is because of his talent and hard work, not PED's.
If Pac truly respects his previous opponents, he'd wipe away any doubts in their minds about who was truly the better man on fight night.
I think at this point the damage is done.
If he doesn't take the tests he looks bad. I still don't think Mayweather has any valid reasons for making Pac take the tests, but now that the rabid media has twisted the facts and made Pac's previous opponents doubt Pacquiao, I think Pac has an obligation to prove to the world that he is clean.
As an honorable man I think Pac should prove to Cotto who respected and believed in Pacquiao, that Pac beat him because of his skills, not any kind of PED's.
If I was as beaten and battered as Cotto, I'd want to know that it was my fault that I took so much punishment and not the product of a steroid abuser.
What damage? The only people whose minds Pac cares truly about are the Filipinos'. And I'm sure they support him 100%. Besides that, Pac couldn't care less. There is no damage in terms of Pac's legacy with regards to Filipinos. Boxing writers and historians are mostly fair and will base their decisions based on facts when the time comes to write about the incredible legacy of Manny Pacquiao. If they find proof that Manny is a cheat, they will write about that too. At this time, his legacy is secure. 4 lineals and 7 divisionals. ATG.
With regards to Cotto, he's already proven he was clean when they fought because his urine came back negative for PEDs when they tested after the fight. What else does he need to do? If Cotto can't come to terms with that, that is Cotto's problem and not Pacquiao's.
Pacquiao's conscience is clear. He doesn't need to succumb to Floyd's demands.
I understand this point completely, but it will mean that he gave in to PBF's demands and by taking the test, feels that this will make him guilty by association.
The burden of proof lies NOT with the accused but with the accuser.
Team Mayweather must first come up with a proof that Pacquiao is doping and then ask him to comply to rigorous testing. Not the other way around.
There's only problem with that though, Pacquiao has proven, time and time again that he is clean. No proof, no further testing required. End of story!

pacman abides on the NSAC rules and thats boxing should be. If you have problem with NSAC, then thats not pacman.
if you are not in favor of NSAC, then you are an idiot :D
I'm not saying he should.
I'm saying he should undergo the tests as an honorable gesture and out of respect for Cotto now that the accusations have gotten out of hand.

Pac should take the test for one reason and one reason alone, as to not dissapoint the 3 - 5 MILLION fans willing to shell out 60 dollars a piece to see these 2 fight, if that is not enough reason to be pricked in the arm 5 times, I don't know what is.
Why don't you tell Floydrunner to stop with his bullshit demand of having Pac undergo the USADA random drug tests when no one had ever done that before?
You see, it works either way.
if your friend say eat your shit, will you eat it out of respect? LOLs
Rules are Rules... If you doubt thats your problem. make your own committee and justify yourself.
No Pacquiao has to take the test for Mayweather and his country as well.. His country is supporting the man so he needs to support his country.. I dont give a **** if you hate the guy he is facing (mayweather) you owe it to your opponent, you owe it to the sport of boxing, you owe it to the fans to be clean and to be fighting on a even playing field. For you to think otherwise is on some hater shit forreal. people need to stop making excuses for this man, its obvious he is hiding something if he isnt willing to be randomly tested
He doesn't owe shit to Mayweather. Mayweather is asking Pac to do some stupid ass unprecedented shit.
The only reason I think Pac should do the tests is because shit has gotten out of hand and Pac's previous opponents are doubting Pacquiao instead of doubting their boxing ability.
Pac should take the test for one reason and one reason alone, as to not dissapoint the 3 - 5 MILLION fans willing to shell out 60 dollars a piece to see these 2 fight, if that is not enough reason to be pricked in the arm 5 times, I don't know what is.
Why should Pac respect the wishes of anybody? He hasn't done anything wrong. He already passed the test for his fights with Cotto and Hatton, what else do they want from him?
No one else asked Mosley, Toney or Vargas to submit to random tests and these fighters admitted or were caught using illegal substances.
This is the whole point why Pacquiao doesn't want to give in to PBF's request because it will mean that
1) he gave in to PBF's demands and it will look like PBF has the upper hand and
2) that he has to prove that he is not a cheat even if he has never failed a drug test in his career.
Manny Pacquiao doesn't have to do anything. Period. The onus is on the Mayweathers to prove that he is cheating and at this time, they have nothing.
Everyone seems to be giving credence to the words of a convicted felon and known drug addict. Pac has done nothing wrong and does not need to take a test outside of what the boxing commission of the state he is fighting at requires. Which he has done each and everytime he fights. Case closed.
PBF is going to cave, don't worry. He can't risk losing this much money.
I'm not saying he should.

Cotto's recent statements suggest that he has some doubts about what he was fighting Nov 14. Manny or PED's?
Although there is no evidence for Manny to undergo what they're asking of him, I think Manny should grit his teeth and bear it for the sake of the men who have gotten in the ring with them and are now telling themselves that maybe it wasn't their boxing abilities which failed them against Pacquiao.
Pac should just take the tests to shut everyone up.... But Cotto is starting to get annoying to me. He seems like hes blaming losses to someone cheating him. No one knows if Marg used the plaster but I see the same fight happeneing if they fought again. And Pac was just too damn fast. Simple as that. I used to love Cotto but something is making me not like him as much anymore. In no way am I TRYING to disrespect Cotto. If I was him, the Tito fight is looking really inviting right about now. Or the Yuri Foreman fight. Either one is the ideal fight for him next. Fight Tito for the pride or Foreman for the title.
I don't think Pac is looking a this from an objective standpoint. I think he feels offended that he's asked to do extra tests for no reason in the first place.
I can empathize with how he's reacting to the whole situation. However, he needs to take the tests now, not for Mayweather, not for his country, but out of respect for the men who have shed their blood in the ring with him.

Cotto doesn't have any business telling Pacquiao what and what not to do. The beat down he suffered at the hands of Manny was so one-sided and complete. He shoud be ashamed of himself trying to stir the pot just because of the non-sense that the dumb-**** Maywathers started.

One of the most ignorant statements I've ever read on a boxing website.
Coming from one of the most ignorant posters on any boxing website that doesn't mean much.
what you say may be true...but after all of the excuses that him and his team has made concerning these tests...it raises suspicion as to if he is really clean or not. As I have stated before, I will not accuse him of using illegal substances, but to see his responses and his team's responses as to WHY he doesn't want to test..and to see him request a 30 day cut off, it raises red flags for me...AS AN ATHLETE. real talk.
It seems to me that he only wants a 30 day cutoff for giving blood, but urine tests are fine all the way up to fight night.
What the Mayweather's are asking for is unprecedented in all of sports history. It would make the Guiness World Records for most drug testing done in the shortest period of time.
I can most definitely see why Pac has an issue with it. Regardless, I think Pac has an obligation to grit his teeth and go through it out of respect for his fallen opponents, Cotto and Hatton. It seem like the most honorable thing to do from my perspective.
Exactly.
No point in doing it for a coward loudmouth, but a friend who feels that you might have cheated him needs his mind put at ease.
One of the most ignorant statements I've ever read on a boxing website.
Pac will never get caught taking PED's because 1) he's not taking any and 2) refusing to take a test is not an admission of guilt.
That is why I can say with confidence that the Philippines will always have Pacquiao's back.

Well, it would be the biggest let down to find out that our main/international icon/representative in sports has been using PED's.
So yea, I agree that some people will still have his back, but it would be the biggest disappointment for me.
Cotto, on the other hand, is a boxer I and a lot boxing fans respect. But I don't think anything he says will affect Pacquiao on taking the tests or not.

If Pac doesn't take the tests it'll be dissapointing for me not because I think he's on roids, but because at this point it is disrespectful to his previous opponents who have just recently expressed their doubts.
