When HBO televised "Pacquiao/Hatton 24/7" -- the four-part series that followed the build up to Pacquiao's second-round knockout of Ricky Hatton to win the junior welterweight title in Las Vegas last May -- it aired footage of Pacquiao taking a routine blood test as part of his pre-fight medical exam in Los Angeles.
The blood test was conducted approximately 14 days before the fight; it punches holes in Pacquiao's argument that giving blood inside 30 days of a fight negatively impacts his performance.
Arum was intrigued by the "24/7" scenario. He told Reuters on Monday that he was ready to move away from Mayweather and announce a new opponent on Tuesday for Pacquiao, but that was before the "24/7" scenario was brought to his attention.
" ... I will transmit it to Manny once Ross Greenburg establishes the actual date of the test in '24/7' and makes a proposal based on what Ross has come up with," Arum told ESPN.com from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. "If that happens, I am sure I can convince Manny" to tighten the testing window.

There's no logical reasoning around this one for Pac, cant wait for his statement on this.
True , reading this entire thread Pac and his team are liars blatant ones , it seems to me Pac is trying to get out of fighting Floyd .
What you are forgetting is that this certain Filipino boxer's team has been avoiding a certain style of figher his whole career (Raheem, Guzman, Campbell(fought Diaz instead). Manny is not afraid, but Roach and Arum are afraid a slick boxer will expose their cash cow. Now they're talking Malinaggi, who accused him of steroids, and Fureman. Real tough challenges there don't you think? :nonono: Why not Bradley, Williams, or Sergio Martinez? Real boxing fans know why. A pure boxer will give Manny hell.
Most of the Floyd fans have been watching boxing longer than you've been born. These pactards just started watching boxing and their ignorant statements prove this day-in and day-out. Or, do you thing Samurai, Lady Fan, peyk-peyk, you, the bakla Killa Kali, and the rest of the pactards make intelligent arguments? That's a rhetorical question.
REally, my co-worker is a huge Floyd fan and he hasn't seen a full Floyd fight yet. And do you really honestly know for a fact that most Manny fan have only been watching boxing since Manny. FYI, i was in Araneta Coliseum for the Thrilla in Manila.
I know its a long thread..but read this shit..this was a b-scene classic...lol.
They got clowned on from start to finish....
Me....USADA....Easy Work and others would not let up.
There's not a whole lot you can dispute when your favorite fighter's own promoter acknowledges the inconsistency in your favorite fighter's story. Not a good look.
Hey man what IS the bottom line??
There will be compromise or a delayed fight.
They will fight = Fans win. We see the best fight the best.
GBP and Mayweathers will get sued = Money for Manny
Drug tests will happen = Manny will test clean again like he always has and Flomos will look dumb as hell along with GBP, Mayweathers, and Pac Haters..
cuz let's face it ...
a lot of Pac haters are just that ... Haters
they are not even fans of boxing.
They just saw a 5.6 1/2 Filipino being successful and decided to hate.
This info proves Pac has been lying. He is not weakened at all within 30 days of testing, unless he planned on Knocking out Hatton in 1 round instead of 2. I still say 14 days is still too far out, 1 to 2 days tops. This guy is a top athlete suppose to be the best boxer on the planet but cant take a blood test. I aint buying it, and his fans shouldn't either.
I wholeheartedly agree.
Before i was on boxingscene i thought something was up and made those comments on youtube after seeing most of pac fights from early on, i became suspicious but not certain. I know fighters sometimes have spaghetti legs when they are at the lower weights and get KD by stiff jabs like what happened to pac against hussein, but i saw how he was able to recover fast from blows like he did against Larios, his recovery seem much better, volume of punches wouldnt decrease, his power increased, it just made me think about PEDS.
Good post. You weren't the only one. While everyone is concentrating on physique, there are other ways to use an "eye test," so to speak. And like you mentioned earlier, he's not the only superstar.

This is just stupid.Arum's projection of Manny as this "humble, devout Catholic, honest and humble" man is backfiring when Manny is caught surrounded in lies and scandalous behaviour. You would expect more from someone who is as "honourable" as Manny.
This is the sort of act that people would stereotype Floyd with, but ironically Manny has done this to himself.Floyd has appeased Manny with all of his own (manny's) demands for the contract, but he cannot accept one small task that is smaller than the fight itself. Before people say that "Manny is champ and should have the say so in the demands",ask yourself if he applied that same philosophy with Miguel Cotto,Ricky Hatton and even Oscar. What a f'ing joke this is.
I'm still not sure what this 40 page circle jerk is about.
Manny has never said he would flat out refuse testing.
I understand the majority of posters who are excited with joy in here are not at all that bright,
but there still isn't a fight signed.
I guess in these times, a supposed Mayweather victory, according to his most loyal stans, in the press is about as good as a Mayweather victory against a credible and worthy welterweight in the ring.
I guess when you're favorite fighter has spent the last five years making excuse after excuse to avoid the best fighters in his own division, they have to take anything they might deem a victory to celebrate about.
sidenote, I seen Rod Barker got banned.
Is this true? What is his new moniker?
Backpeddling?
It's painfully obvious the 30 day out had NOTHING to do with being superstitious about needles and EVERYTHING to do with not letting Mayweather push him around.
I hope Manny does do the testing, as it's really his only way out of this situation now, but you guys are so slow if you can't see what's really going on.straight up!
