Will they say A) Andre Ward beat the fight outta him
or B) He was always mediocre.
Personally i think Froch will spank him, at home and do the job properly.
The englishman has had a tough run of fights, with taylor looking to prove a point and win the world title, then slippery Dirrell - and Now kessler, looking at the fight of his life following defeat..in front of his home fans.
For someone who people claim is limited, he has gigantic balls and an exciting style.
I cant wait for this european shoot out in the next round of the super six and think 'the cobra' will pick up 3 points from this fight.
Froch is bigger than Kessler, has a longer reach and is not remotely bothered about fighting anywhere.
The main asset, which you cannot bottle or measure with a tape, is that iron will to win at all costs. To go out on your shield in a war.
Kessler is as text book as you like, which is good for Froch who carved out a very good career fighting Kessler-types from all over europe.
He even won fighter of the tournament in Copenhagen during the Box-cup of Europe, battering one their top guys.
The first round will begin and you will see Kessler backing up as soon as Froch lands anything of note.
Kessler is the next best thing to Calzaghe in his eyes. He's had "Kessler this, Kessler that" from Calzaghe for the last years - and by going to Kessler's hometown and doing a proper number on him, he will bury that ghost.
Froch has come off three wins against fast handed, athletic black guys. All had skillz and all had top honours whether that be as a pro or an amateur.
When i look at Kessler's record i see Anthony Mudine (a guy heading to 154 now) and and old, washed up Marcus Beyer. The rest would not rank in the top 10 nowadays and i include nearly-man Andrade in that.
Kessler will have the pressure of coming of a bad loss and performing in style in front of his countrymen.
The bookies have Froch the slight underdog - based on what i dont know!
I not only think he will win, but i think he will win BIG.
Even though I dont agree i see the point you are making, either way this fight is going to be good, its going to be a war without a shadow of a doubt, both fighters are going to be going in there looking to trade. I dont think it will go all the way to be honest.
Froch has alot of mental strength, is very tough and has a fair bit of power, but his defence is and always will be awful (too old to change), Kessler can bang and hes going to go straight down the middle with his trademark one twos and Froch is going to get hit ALOT. Whether Froch can overcome that makes the fight interesting. And I stand by my previous point about Carl not having a great chin
frochs style is tailor-made for kessler
i think kess will KO him, although he may have too settle for a wide ass UD
froch cant do what calzaghe/ward did,he cant give the angles, doesnt have the speed
My money is on Froch KOing Kessler. The loss to Ward has got him on a losing streak and really he could do with an easy fight before getting going again and the Froch fight is going to be a hard one. Froch is very good and underestimated because he wins ugly. IMO Froch will need to KO Ward to win I can't see him winning on points.
one fight doesnt make a streak lol
Froch hasn't exactly endeared himself to me recently with his poor performance against Dirrell (although I still had it as a very close fight, with either man winning by a round every time I score it) and his unfounded arrogance, but I have him beating Kessler. Cliche though it is, styles make fights and I think Froch is all wrong for Kessler for a few reasons. While Froch is undoubtedly one-dimensional, I feel Kessler is too predictable and incapable of adapting mid-fight. Froch will probably lose the first half of the fight, but will get himself back into contention with sheer will. Froch is tough enough to walk through shots that he sees coming and Kessler has always fought the exact same way. I think Froch can break Kessler down. Should be a good fight though.

I just looked at boxrec. Froch has a 1 and a half inch longer reach which is true, and he is taller by 4 cm, but some reason both are listed as 6 foot 1 lol. edit: actually they are both 6 1. froch at 185 and kessler at 185.
Personally I don't think the size is a difference in this fight. Kessler has the speed, and will reach Froch faster.
Kessler types are no where near as a good as Kessler. Froch has had a close but deciseinve fight with Pascal who isn't a great fighter at all. Diancou who?
Taylor was beating him until he gassed out and got hit. I give Froch for carrying on though.
Dirrel is green and had the wrong gameplan. He was very close to winning in my eyes.
I'm not hating on him, but he isn't better than Kessler in my eyes.
Size doesn't win fights or as you said, frank would beat Tyson.
Also as you said about kessler knows how to lose and froch doesn't. As said before, Manny Paqciao has lost manny times, but he can beat people like bradley who is undefeated.
Skills pay the bills, and Kessler has a good chin to take this win. Froch won't KO him. and I don't think he can win more than 6 rounds VS this style. Kessler has a great jab and stands his ground, which is the wrong style for Froch since he loves coming forward.
PS 50K BET ON KESSLER. YOU GONNA TAKE IT OR REFUSE AS OPPOSED TO IGNORING.
very interesting fight..i like kessler, but froch is from nottingham...you just cant cut nottingham lads..look a dan hardy...
froch 10th round ko..either way its going to be a blood bath..
I had froch beating dirrel by 2 points but I give credit to dirrell for giving a good performance. This fight though is different and I can see froch beating kessler more decisivly tbh because he's a lot more easier to hit than dirrell.
Put your points on the line then and tell me where Froch is better than Kessler. A warrior does not always win fights but Kessler is one also. Froch even said he likes Kessler because of the style. They will have a good tear up

Carl will F#k kessler up.
33k on kessler
I call out any person willing to bet on Froch over Kessler
50k. You must PM me incase I don';t go back to this thread
First come first serve because I want to make other bets
I think people are going to be very surprised with the outcome of this one. A lot of people don't care for Froch, but I don't think he is that bad. No he is definitely not the most skilled fighter I have ever seen. However, he talks a lot of shit, hits hard, has a solid chin, and hates Calzaghe. What's not to like about him? I do think he got a gift against Dirrell, and was very lucky to beat Taylor. The Kessler fight will be different though. Neither one has very good movement, but Froch did find a way to hit a very good Jean Pascal. Kessler didn't land anything on Ward. People on this site had better quit underestimating Froch. Now styles do make fights, and this one could go either way. Kessler just has never been that impressive to me. He got way over rated because he gave Calzaghe a tough fight. What else has the guy done? I got Froch in this on by a close unanimous decision.
Find a way to hit Pascal?
Pascal was standing toe to toe. It's not like Pascal was jabbing. Both had very close rounds but Froch edged most slightly.
When Taylor gassed, he was easy to hit. Froch has power, but not above Kessler.
Kessler has better foot work than Froch IMO. Froch has trouble turning around.
50K Bet on KESSLER TO WIN.
nOT SURE HOW AMNY POINTS YOU HAVE THOUGH

Again I ask you to tell me what area Froch is better?
Again if you are confident in Froch then perhaps a 50k bet?
I think Kessler will look a lot better against Froch. The target is not the same as when your fighting Andre Ward, Froch fights as one dimensional as Kessler does, so Kessler will be able get off against Froch, plus Kessler punches straighter than Froch and has allround better fundamentals.
This is how I see it, I really cant see Froch winning this one to be honest, hes been knocked down before by lesser punchers, he was wobbled by Dirrell. His chin isnt as great as everyone thinks it is, dont get me wrong, Froch is tough as hell, he can take punishment for 15, 20 rounds and still keep going like nothing has happened but if he takes a big big shot (which I believe Kessler can produce considering Frochs very poor defence) he will go down.
It should be a good fight though, Froch has alot of heart and is still as confident as ever and he'll be looking to trade (at least until Kessler catches him hard). Kessler will feel he has something to prove after his last fight and will (hopefully) be looking for a big win, I wonder about his heart though, he looked like he didnt want to carry on against ward and I got the feeling he had just about given up on the fight in the late rounds.
I gotta be honest dude, that for someone who writes and writes and goes to the last degree to explain their position...
... its a load of crap what you write !
Frank Bruno could hit harder than Mike Tyson, don't mean he was a killing machine.
I think Froch will win and I wont write an essay - it's just that he is a warrior.
Kessler KNOWS how to lose now.
Ward is greener than Dirrell (who you state is green), yet he exposed him.
If Kessler fought Pascal or Taylor he would lose.
I remind you, You can bet 50k on Froch because Kessler knows how to lose. For a guy who said I typed up a load of bullshit, you said Bruno hits harder than Tyson. I'm confident that a guy who has lost befroe like Khan will lose to Salaita who has never lost.
At the time, I thought Calzaghe was wise not to fight Froch but now when there is people who really think that Froch is good I'm kinda sad that Joe didn't beat the shit out of him.
Kessler hasn't looked good in his last two fights, if he isn't what he once was Froch might beat him. The Kessler that fought Joe would destroy him though.
I made this thread with the list of what Froch will have done assuming he beats Kessler and I had a hard time getting ppl to admit that they would have to stop saying he is not good after he beats Kessler in addition to what he has done before that.

It's the way Froch carries himself that gets most peoples backs up. He's just not as good as Froch thinks he is. Sorry.
I can't take anything away from Froch's last 3 fights but Froch thinks he was flawless in those fights which he quiet clearly wasn't.
It's annoying.

Frank was a musle bound guy. Muscles don't mean punching power. Get that fact straight now. The worlds strongest man from poland use to box, but he said he hated getting hit.
Frank is a good boxer, but his chin wasn't great. That's what let him lose to Lewis and Tyson.
Plus Tyson is a beast anyway. His speed was very good and speed creates power in punching. Don't let 5 feet 11 fool you, he was damn big.
Froch is a warrior, but name be a area that Froch is better than Kessler. If you come up with something that I missed, then OK, I'll agree.
My opinion is, Kessler beats Taylor and Pascal. Kessler does not like people who fight on the back foot, but anyone who is willing to engage a little will have a hard time.
Taylor was done by Pavlik twice, whom I do nto feel is better than Kessler at 168.
I do agree that Ward is green too, but he has good fundamentals and won a gold at the olympics.
Put your points on the line then and tell me where Froch is better than Kessler. A warrior does not always win fights but Kessler is one also. Froch even said he likes Kessler because of the style. They will have a good tear up
