Prime Kostya Tszyu vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr.

For me the closest one who could ever beat Floyd during his career was Tszyu because his couter punch accuraccy

exactly,hatton smothered him whereas mayweather wouldnt do that plus it would have taken a sledgehammer too stop hatton that night,he took some brutal right hands,i was shocked he beat KT too be honest He took some of the shots pretty well but also once you go to the ribs you also take away the power as well as cause extra fatigue. KT had sometimes issue with ignoring bodyshots like when he lost to Vince Philips. Vince was attacking the body and KT looked like it really didnt effect him til the round he got KOed and he fell like a tree. It amazing how KT too alot of Vince bodyshots and didnt show any signs of pain he covered it up pretty well but in the Hatton fight it looks like age too abit toll on him because all that was left was 2 rounds as well as he was ahead on points not far ahead. KT is a more stationary fighter moves when he needs to and add pressure and moves around abit to box.

Hatton style is very hard for Kostya to use his power. Kostya needs space to use his power. Kostya has the weapons to beat Mayweather. The Power, reflexes, good speed, solid chin. But some of you talk about Kostya as he is an ATG. Kostya was a very very good fighter that could have been an ATG if it wasn't for his injuirys and his time he had to take off. But to me it seems on here that whenever somebody talks about Kostya most people say "Oh he'll Beat him, or Knock him out easily." Like how some people say Kostya would knock out Pacquiao or any other WW in history. But he didn't knock out Hatton *even tho he was out of prime* but They say the last thing to go is your power. Kostya is an ATG, he is possibly the best 140lb fighter of all time.

aye lads, how are u mate? hope u lads all had a brilliant christmas who u reckon takes this ****ing BARNBURNER? the robotic russian or the slick american? Nothing Robotic about Tszyu. The man was deceptively slick, incredibly smart, and packed a hell of a punch.

very hard too tell kostya was brilliant against slick fighters and his timing was impeccable i could see him causing floyd massive problems with his right hand,but also taking plenty of leather in return

It is very hard to tell. Kostya reflex is very good and he could move away from a punch just by mm away and counter attack. people in this website alway underestimate counter punchs. But also Floyd defense is pretty good. Floyd would not do combos or til his pot shots are working more and more effectivly and he feels he controls Kostya. If Floyd throws alot of combos going with Kostya by KO. Other wise it will be a competitive UD.

A Prime Tszyu is a far better opponent and superior fighter than Manny Pacquiao (Pacquiao would probably be Knocked Out by Tszyu within 5 rounds). However, for him to beat Mayweather ... I'll take Mayweather by Majority Decision in his closest ever fight.

He fought hatton after judah so i can remember kosta saying that he only wanted big fights and it would have been a bigger event with him and mayweather than him and hatton... P.s.
