i heard alot of people on NSB saying that the only reason for the blood testing is because urine test cant detect HGH. which is correct but i dont think people realize how hard it really is to detect HGH.
here is an interesting article i found:
What is Human Growth Hormone?
Human Growth Hormone (HGH or hGH) is the most abundant hormone produced by the pituitary gland (pituitary is one of the endocrine glands). The pituitary gland is located in the center of the brain. HGH is also a very complex hormone. It is made up of 191 amino acids - making it fairly large for a hormone. In fact, it is the largest protein created by the Pituitary gland. GH has a half-life in the blood of approximately 17 to 45 minutes. Because of this, detecting GH in a drug screen is very hard.
HGH secretion reaches its peak in the body during adolescence. This makes sense because HGH helps stimulate our body to grow. But, HGH secretion does not stop after adolescence. Our body continue to produce HGH usually in short bursts during deep sleep, intense exercise and when the hormone insulin is low.
Growth Hormone is known to be critical for tissue repair, muscle growth, healing, brain function, physical and mental health, bone strength, energy and metabolism. In short, it is very important to just about every aspect of our life! http://www.rippednaturally.com/bodybuilding_hgh_human_growth_hormone.html
i know his muscle gains would be permanent. but it helps w/ recovery, lets say he had a hard workout then the hgh could help him recover faster. now i dont believe he is on nothing but anything is possible
I read when Pacquiao first did Plyometrics he couldnt' work out the next day because his body felt sore and that was with Ariza by his side---I don't know why Ariza didnt put HGH in his protein shack to help Pacquiao out. But I do see the benefits of HGH.
here is the truth mayweather is hating on pac cuz he gots more punching power, floyd gots the defense, but thats pacs gift in boxing, know if it was as easy as taking steroids, just about all the boxers today would be as exciting as pac,i mean what do u expect from another fghter who has given his life to boxing, stop being such a HATER floyd!!!!
From what I can recall, HGH has permenant gains. You just don't suddenly lose the benefits after a while --meaning Pacquiao's muscle gain would be permanent. I don't see that from Pacquiao. HGH raises testosterone levels which can be detected by urine and blood tests which rules it out if Pacquiao ever did get a test before or right after a fight. Again, Conte commented that if you want to see results on an elite level--EPO is the way to go not HGH.

I'm glad to see a Pacquiao supporter being unbiased and stating facts. Green k for 817 boy.
yea i try to be unbiased, but i cant be when im talking about certain people like floyd mayweather sr.
something about him i cant stand
read the last part where i bolded and underlined it. how would those benefits not help a boxer.

Why not get 30-40 blood tests to make sure it gets it? Sigh.
Conte said HGH is generally pointless for a boxer. EPO and blood doping is the main issue.

It's so hard. And simple urine tests are not helping detect it.
yea i didnt realize, now w/ this research i dont agree w/ manny.
he should take a blood test
1. the day of the fight announcement
2. up to 10 random blood test until feb 26 (15 days before the fight). and in the dressing room right after the fight.
3. random urine test until the day of the fight
