Im all for stricter testing but the situation of the fight also has to be taken into consideration. Im trying to see it from pacs point of view. If pac does have the idea that taking blood right before a fight has led to a bad performance in the past it can be a powerfull hurdle to overcome. Im not suprised were not hearing from him immediately. Personally i think he will agree to random testing but may draw the line at blood testing within a certain timeframe (24 hrs??) before the fight. The question is does this 24 hr peroid give you adequate time to injest something to improve performance in the fight. I was under the impression a lot of these things were used to boost training peformance but obviously im not sure if there is something you can take a day before a fight, and have it not detectably in urine or a blood test right after the fight. Or will we just have opinions on whether this is possible or not. There is also the idea that floyds team are completely calling the shots on this one. Floyd or his team do not make the rules up regarding drug testing and trying to inforce the most stringent tests possible on someone else may cause irritation. If pac is clean im sure he will want to accomadate floyds demands and i hope he does. But the issue of blood tests right before the fight is a genuine issue and im sure it would be for a lot of people. Lets give pac time to work it out and see what he says himself. He may after all agree to all demands in the next week, you just never know with these things. Fights are on then off, then on again ...... etc several time and more

maybe its because pro boxers are really not required to take tour de france-type and olympics tests? should they be required? someone should pass a law first abolishing the mandate of state athletic commissions to test for doping and establish a federal agency to handle the issue. make it a blanket test for ALL pro boxers to undertake random tests all year round and stop singling out pacquiao by trying to punish him for his success. There is a law that prohibits the use of performance enhancers. It's illegal regardless of testing for it or not. You can say that there shouldn''t be any testing at all and that will be your opinion. I just happen to disagree.

He isn't branded as a cheater until proven guilty (except by Mayweather sr.). Whats hurting Pacman here is that people are starting to believe he is hiding something. Refusing to take the official test as dictated by the US Ant-doping agency, just looks plain bad. Pacquiao lost to Morales after providing blood samples. If Lance Armstrong can take a test just before a huge mountain stage in The Tour De France surely Pac can do it while training for a fight? Mayweather will be subject to the exact same regimen so he shouldn't make it an issue.

All the excuses Pac has used are dumb and if he's clean he shouldn't have any problem making people eat their words. If Pac walks away from this fight because of the testing then there's no doubt he's on something. Yeah how many people walk free because of technicality who are really guilty. Please Manny hasn't proven himself. I have the right to have an opinion, but if your basing your opinion based on technicality then live it up ****en droid. As a professional in a certain field you cannot state that a particular person in the same field is conducting wrongful activity without evidence. You cannot say that it is fact without proof. It is unethical. If you went to work accusing a coworker of stealing, lying, cheating, sexual harassment, etc. for no reason whatsoever you could get in trouble and you can have a lawsuit filed against you. The Mayweather camp had no proof. They went out on an all out attact on Pacquiao's legacy without proof. They stated their opinions as if they were facts to the media, to their industry's professionals, and to the fans. Young fans should know the truth. And the truth is he is innocent until proven guilty. And since Manny has proven he is a clean fighter in the past and he is willing to take any test outside of the day of the fight and within the guidelines of the commission, then he is no way in any shape or form, guilty. It is quite sad how young fans of boxing are introduced to or exposed to such disgust that Mayweather Sr. and his son's team have indulged in.
