Why is he talking about fighting guys like Malinaggi and Foreman instead of the Mosley-Berto winner, Bradley, Alexander, or even Martinez. This is more Top Rank oppurtunistic match making and it's duck sauce. Floyd carefully chooses his opponents too. But you're not gonna get any double standards from me.
Pac has fought at least three black fighters.
Do you know the difference between "black" and "African Americans"? i guess not :pat: , and furthermore who are these "three black fighters"? Ledwebe and then who?.
I don't go out of my way to bring race into things, but it's gonna look like you're right if he retires without fighting at least one.

Pac has other options, but Paulie should not even be considered. Guy's a low-risk and no reward opponent with nothing to offer. Should be either Bradley or Foreman. Bradley is hungry for a superfight, and has a hell of a lot better to offer than guido. He is rated by Ring and has belts that can solidify Pac's legacy in the LWW division. Even with Shaw's statement supporting drug tests, they can at least explore less intrusive testing options that may be acceptable to both parties. The Foreman option is unappealing, TBH. It's a fight that will satisfy no one but the cynics trying to dangle an eighth title to Pac, in a division that he doesn't even want to fight in.

You see the pattern don't you? Pac was hesitant as hell when he was questioned about fighting Floyd after he beat Cotto, now he's found an excuse to duck Floyd with the drug tests and the names they are coming up with as "alternatives" are Foreman and Paulie? :pat: if that happens then he's clearly ducking African-Americans imo, he already turned down Shane in favor of facing Cotto even when Shane said he'd go down to 140.
Because Pac refuses to get in the right with African-Americans, it's that simple.

But given the fact that Pac isn't gonna fight much longer, why take fights that are totally safe and have no risk involved? At least unlike Calzaghe though, Pac has a resume to be proud of as it is.
That’s precisely the point, if this is indeed his last fight then he’s probably wouldn’t want to risk against any other opponent that would remotely give him the pay day that he’d earn with Floyd, so therefore play it safe and win another alphabet title against an opponent that he’s know he’d beat, retire the following day and bask in the glory of being a multi-division titlist while continually being put in the same sentence of the great SRR (by some).
Peace.
Thats all Bob Arum trying to make the most money he can. Most of the guys he mentioned are his own fighters he wants to keep the money in his pockets.
But Malinaggi isn't even a Top Rank fighter. This is what is making Pacquiao look so bad.

Because it seems Arum is looking for another means to an end in solidifying Manny’s greatness. Why take a gamble with an opponent in Mosely/Berto who can jeopardize his cracking his golden egg ? Though I firmly see your point.
Peace.
