“I really don’t care, because Manny doesn’t need Floyd Mayweather,” Roach said. “The tests he’s requesting are not commission tests, they’re not boxing tests and this is not an Olympic sport. A urine test is just as qualified as a blood test. is not detected by blood or urine.”
The World Anti-Doping Agency successfully used blood testing at the 2004 Olympics in Athens to test for HGH.

Had to make separate thread on this, weird thing to say on Roach's part... who is right about this?
What makes this look bad is the comments that were made a couple of weeks ago in an interview with Pacquiao's strength trainer Ariza. I don't remember the exact quote but to paraphrase he said that Pacquaio did not know what he was taking that he (Ariza) made up his own mix of stuff. Just a stupid comment in my opinion in this age of BALCO, etc....
If it's not detected thru urine, or blood. How is HGH detected??
Same way they find designer steroids. If they find abnormalities in the blood as WBC, RBC, Hemoglobin, or abnormally high Testesterone.
But i believe a new urine test can find it by using a particle that is about one-tenth the size of a red blood cell that attracts, traps and protects HGH molecules. The particles surround nearly 100% of the HGH molecules and act as an amplifier, so available testing equipment can detect the synthetic hormone.
Once again, the test can detect HGH two weeks after an athlete has last used it. THe blood tests can find within two days.
That is why RANDOM tests are so important.
Suspicious that he is refusing the tests in the first place I don't care what this fool says. Mayweather is agreeing to all these demands and Mayweather has one demand and Pac and his team can't man up and just go with it. Obvioulsy Pac does NOT want to fight Mayweather if he wants to pull this sh*t.

72 homeruns
participating in tour de france with cancer
knocking out ODH, Ricky Hatton, and Miguel Cotto after coming from flyweight.... hahaha just kidding throwing some fuel on the fire.:boxing:
Getting blood drawn before the fight could affect Pacquiao. If the testing were 4 weeks before the fight and right after the fight, then it'd be suspicious if Pacquiao turned that down.
Shit even looks suspicious now.
Perhaps Roach is a little pissed with it but...
Urine Test
In 2008, USA Today reported that a collaboration between American and Italian scientists produced a test that detects HGH use via urine samples.
Effectiveness of Urine Test
According to USA Today, the urine test can detect HGH two weeks after use. This is because the test involves a particle that traps HGH molecules and amplifies their presence so the hormone can be identified.
Apparently those tests in 2004 were some of the first BLOOD tests to try and catch HGH...
"Traditional urine analysis could not detect doping with HGH, so the ban was unenforceable until the early 2000s, when blood tests that could distinguish between natural and artificial HGH were developed. Blood tests conducted by WADA at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece primarily targeted HGH."
