So Khan gets Mr. Featherfisted while Alexander gets the puncher?

I don't know why Maidana is getting so much hype, he lost to Kotelnik FFS. Khan would easily outbox him. Maidana is a good puncher but he's got nothing else and boxers with power alone usually fail when they get in the ring with a skilled fighter. Malignaggi is a much more interesting fight IMO. Khan has been put down by a so called feather fisted fighter before and i wouldn't be too shocked if Malignaggi hurt him. To be fair, it was a close fight. And like you said yourself, those with power usually fail against a skilled fighter. It's by no means guaranteed to happen.

Marcos Maidana isnt a big name in boxing. Why would Amir Khan fight Maidana for less money and little USA exposure when he can fight Malignaggi for more money and more USA exposure? Amir would tap Maidanas ass if the fight would happen. Alexander is a no name and HBO practicly ordered Alexander to fight Maidana if he wants to come on HBO television. Quoted for truth. :boxing:

I dont know Witter can hit a bit, see Vivian Harris. He can, but I wouldn't say Witter's knockout over Harris proves he's a puncher. He has a good punch, but from what I've seen his KO's are more from his speed. Maidana seems to be a one punch knockout type fighter. The heavy handed Colombian type (FYI I know he's not Colombian). Let's see what Khan defenders have to say about this. Alexander has less fights than Khan if I remember right, and he is fighting a better opponent than Khan is. On the undercard probably nontheless. The Alexander-Maidana fight should be the main event. Everybody chime in. Paulie Malignaggi > Marcos Maidana as far as ranking and relevance goes. Marcos may be a worse style match up, but Paulie is much more proven in the division. Of course you wouldnt see it that way, because your a daft bimbo.:D

Maidana is the hardest hitting guy at 140, Khan has a suspect chin and his management and trainers realize that. It's too high risk for low reward. Alexander is gonna have to go in and out and dodge maidana to win this. If he stands and trades with maidana he's gonna get ktfo.

Oh, and another thing Maidana is still getting his deserved Title Shot. Which is all i care about since he deserves it.

I honestly don't know why anyone thought Khan was going to fight Maidana at this point of his career. Low Risk, High Reward. It's Simple. I still believe that Devon will beat Maidana though. Khan as well. Ortiz, even though he is good and i think he will have a good future, but when he met Maidana, he just found someone hungrier then him and quit.

Amir Khan is no where near being a "Big Name" He isn't a big name yet but he is certainly "somewhere near" the big name fighters. He's an accomplished amateur and has the WBA title, big shot trainer, etc. You can't call him a nobody

As much as I break Rican balls on here about Juan Ma, at least he's beaten Ponce De Leon and talks are strong that he is gonna fight Gamboa. I just get on him for ducking Caballero and the fact that he went life and death with a bum and him not being this beast that the Puerto Rican posters like Ch@mp make him out to be. Khan has done jack shit here lately, and he's the biggest fraud in boxing. I don't hate him because he's Pakistani or a Muslim. I just think he's on the road to an easy ride. At least Calzaghe stayed over in Wales fighting off HBO so I didn't have to sit through his garbage fights.
