Fight fans.
For anyone who hasn't seen Arturo Gatti vs Ivan Robinson i highly recommend you check it out!
I'm sure the majority of fight fans have seen this fight, but for everyone that hasn't it should blow you away.
:boxing:
Thanks for the heads up. I'll check it out tonight.
The only Gatti fights i have watched are Gatti/Ward I-III, Gatti/Floyd and Gatti/Oscar. :dunno::banghead:
do yourself a favor and watch gatti vs rodriguez
saying its a great fight is selling to short
but dont forget to watch gatti vs robinson (second favorite gatti fight)
a great performance by both guys
If you ever get a spare $30-$40 go online and buy his career set. You wont be disappointed. He has some of the most dramatic fights you'll see out of a professional fighter. Of the sets I own, and I own the sets of a lot of exciting fighters, Gatti's set is the one I can sit down with a 6-pack, pick any random disk, and have a blast watching.
Again totally agree and recommend.
The Gatti Ward trilogy is absolutely not overrated. It's a Hollywood slugfest come to life.
I can understand why you would prefer Gatti Robinson, though. Much more technical, much more appealing to a boxing fan who appreciates skill over drama.
Totally agree, how on earth is this trilogy overrated! The trilogy had everything.
Arturo and Micky where like Barrera and Morales, Corrales and Castillo, Ali and Frazier. They really did bring out the very best in each other.
Thanks for the heads up. I'll check it out tonight.

both the Gatti-Robinson fights were better than all three of the Gatti-Ward fights.

Not all of em...Mayweather, DLH, and most of his later fights were kinda sad. Gatti went through a lot of rough patches in his career where he just wasn't there for the fight.
I've heard stories that his trainers would lose him the night before a fight and find him asleep on the boardwalk the next day. Of couse I cant prove the validity of these stories, but watching him in some of his fights I won't argue them.
That aside, Gatti was my all time favorite fighter to watch. He usually gave everything in the ring. If making boxing fun was a prerequisite for ATG status, he would be a shoe-in.
Gatti was also my all time favorite fighter to watch.
In my opinion one of the most exciting fighters the sport has ever had if not the most exciting.
Thanks for the heads up. I'll check it out tonight.

Check out the rematch as well mate. Another great fight.
Nothing compares to the Gatti Ward trilogy but still incredible fights.

Gatti was at his worst in terms of preparing for fights and partying. 135 was definitely Gatti's worst weight. It was amazing that he could take those punches, but the fights with Robinson are fights he should have won.
