just want to get thst out there, because i saw this picture of Pacman as the GOAT. and that's just wrong. Pacman is the bomb, he definitely is one of the GOAT's, but not the GOAT. that is always gonna be SRR.
u gotta put stuff in perspective: like Bert Sugar said, Pacman won in 7 weight divisions, more than Willie Pep, right? but there weren't as many weight classes back then. if u look at the weights, Willie Pep is still ahead.
and then look at the records, SRR fought every 2 weeks or so... and damn! look how he fought, IF u knocked him down, u'd be shittin urself, cuz then u were in real trouble.. SRR would own Pacman.
I thoroughly enjoy watching Pacman fight and like how he handles him, he's a classy dude. It is what it is..
hahahaha, i guess so lol.
Boxing ain't too populair here, we all know Ali and Tyson ofcourse but talk about Klitschko or something and they don't got much to talk about.
if you notice...... most of the top american boxers of late come from boxing families where their parents or uncles got them into the sport.
gone are the days when there's boxing gyms and pal gyms all over the place where a kid can just learn the sport.

:crying:
thats why i was comparing david tua vs. james toney, those are the old school style fighters. ok, not training hard as ****, but they always make it a great fight. Tua is coming back if he fights better each time out from now on. Tua vs. Haye, Arreola, i'd like to see that.
the HW's dont wanna fight no more, it's a brutal sport, and fighting at HW u need to have a mixture of awesome toughness and stupidity/arrogance. it's incredibly hard work, and nowadays it's easier doing other stuff.
well us americans will always have guys at 135-175.
those guys are too small for the nba and nfl. :D

no one wants to be a boxer anymore.
if you're an athletic 220 lb. or higher american you're probably training your ass off for the nfl or nba.
it seems like the typical american heavyweight are guys like jameel mccline.
one day they run into someone who says , "hey , you're big. you should try boxing."
emmanuel steward helped ruin this eras heavyweight division too.
take a look at lennox lewis , vitali klitschko and wladimir klitschko fights PRE-steward and POST-steward. :nonono:

Pac is doing things that no one has ever done as Arum said. Look at the faces of all the boxers Pac has beat of late and how battered they looked. People are so impressed with him they accuse him of steroids. How people behave towards Pac, speaks volumes and louder than any words will ever do, and all counts towards Pacs greatness and it all adds up.
He was favourite against Cotto for good ness sake. Pac has come a long, long way. How many people in Cottos career were favourite against him, let alone someone who came from 116 or is it 106?
He is top 10 now perhaps and if he beats PBF, skys the limit.

look at that pretty boy
speakin of the pretty boy (not being a hater, love ali), u ever found that picture of Frazier-Ali I fight, where Frazier caught Ali with his monsterous left hook and floored him.
hmm.. well true.. but don't give Pacman that much discredit. he could beat some fighters of history, right? or at least put up a good fight, like Pacman vs. Duran. that would be pretty competitive at welter, right?
Him against Duran at Welter? Maybe it could be a good fight. Duran was not in his prime at Welter. I think Pac beats Alexis Arguello. I think a Pac-Chavez fight would be pretty good. I don't know who really wins that fight maybe Pac. A good fight at Welter for Pac would be against the very skilled Jose Napoles. Who was a smooth as butter. I could see Napoles outclassing Pac. But, I could see Pac stoppin Napoles due to cuts.
Pac is my favorite active fighter right now. But, I don't put him in my top 20. I have at #26 I think. Just right outside top 25. There have been a lot of great fighters throughout history.
