I think it's pretty amazing.
Vitali attempted 142 punches in the first 2 rounds against Johnson.
Haye attempted 143 in 12 rounds against Valuev.
Vitali also threw over 100 punches in each of the final 3 rounds, a stark contrast to the 12 punches per round that Haye attempted.
What is truly amazing about all this though is the fact that Adam Booth came and and trashed Vitali's performance when in reality it was his own fighter who had recenty put on the most pathetic track meet in Heavyweight history.
Shoot, even Kevin Johnson, who had no desire to fight, still attempted more than twice the number of punches against a much more dangerous opponent than Haye faced.
The Klits are going to get Ko'd by HAYE. If david can make a Valuev do the chicken dance by penetrating that concrete thick skull with a one hit, then it's going to be lights out for Wlad and Vitali
uh,,,nobles,,,ruiz,,,even monte barret shook valuev. valuev ia hard to drop but not too hard to wobble. he has no defense at all
is it me or has vitali seemed to have slowed down? maybe it was johnson's defense that made him look clumsy at times, but i think on that showing david haye has a chance. it could be that he catches him at the right time and beats him before odlanier solis does.
I was watching his fight with danny williams and he was clearly much quicker than he is now but I still think he has enough left to beat haye unless he waits till he's 40
Vitali was fighting a guy smaller than him and Haye was fighting a giant. The size difference was comparable to Pacman going up against a cruiserweight.
Haye has repeatedly proven that he fights like a warrior when it's appropriate to. Trying that against Valuev was too risky.
hello? valuev cant crack an egg. he's dead weight. vit was only 4 lbs heavier than johnson
This is nothing to be proud of considering Johnson wasnt hurt the entire fight, and Valuev knocked silly off of one punch.
So basically you are saying it takes 142 Quitali punches to equal one great hayemaker.
LOL
valuev isnt a good defensive fighter unlike johnson and wasnt just fighting to survive unlike johnson. funny this coming from a guy with calslappy as his avatar
Haye did what he had to do against a guy a lot bigger than he was. Haye showed he can change his style to get the job done..
who cares that valuev was a lot bigger. its dead weight and he cant crack an egg. haye talked about how boring heavyweights are and that he always stands his ground and fights yet he ran for most of the fight and put on a boring performance. he's a liar and a hipocrit

Although those statistics are all onesided and accurate, Haye was giving up nearly a foot to the giant while Vitali had Johnson by 4-1/2 inches. That kind of a height difference can have an affect on a boxers output I'd imagine.
We're getting away from the point here which is that Haye sets compubox records for inactivity and Klitschko throws 1000 punches per fight.
Haye is never going to fight the Klits because he likely wont get past John Ruiz anyhow.
You will see Haye back to his old self against Ruiz and i would be surprised if the fight is anywhere near close.
:lol1: the rematches were only if Haye won. :pat:

Nah, it just proves that they think he is such a cunt they want to beat him up 3 times instead of once.

The Klitschkos wanting 2 rematches proves they had no confidence in themselves that they could beat Haye.

And deservedly lost fans.
I have yet to see anyone support Haye's performance in this thread who isn't British.
Haye had gathered quite a few American fans who have never liked the Klitschko's when he started with his brash brand of trash talk.
Now that he has ducked them both and put on the worst heavyweight title fight of the decade he has lost the majority of them and is left with the same thing he had in the first place; A handful of British fans who will support anything he says or does. Or, as in the case of the Valuev fight, the things he says he will do, and then doesn't do.
haye now has a fan base all over the world, and i know for a fact that haye will be on hbo. he is the complete package that the division needs.

No matter how you try to word it there is no way that Haye makes more money fighting his current 3 fight deal with King and Sauerland. He will be lucky to make as much fighting Valuev, Ruiz and then either Meehan or a rematch with Valuev as he would fighting Vitali once.
Furthermore, what Haye fans love to neglect in this argument, is that is Haye had beaten the Klits he would have become champion and therefore would have been guranteed a share of a huge purse in a rematch, or a huge purse to unify against the other brother.
Haye's backing out really proved just one thing. He did not have confidence in himself that he could actually win the first fight against either bro.
Anything else Haye says is just a rubbish excuse derived out of desperation.

And i'm a fan of the Klitschko's too, but Wlad gave him a joke of a contract to sign and i don't blame Haye for backing out. Plus Haye's only income from the fight came from Setanta Sports who went bust. So he would end up potentially fighting Wlad three times for nothing.

First of all, i didn't get my £15 worth that i paid for the PPV. It wasn't a great fight but he got it done. I was happy, sue me.

Haye getting the WBA belt gets him more leverage to get a better deal from a Klitschko brother.
The fight/s will happen eventually.
When was the last time Valuev knocked someone out?
What was Haye so afraid of? Chagaev wasnt any bigger than Haye and he threw way more punches than Haye and was not knocked out.
Chagaev, Ruiz, Donald all had waaaaaaaaay more balls and fought a better version of Valuev
Great stats & topic Hitman.
Don't sweat it just because Haye fans are delusional. It is funny though how they cried endlessly about how bad the division needs him and criticize everyone else for being boring yet defend Haye's horrendous outing so fiercly.
Actually the funniest part of a Klit-Haye match would be seeing Haye try to run away and fail miserably when he realizes he isn't dealing with a 320 pound lump of sh*t who is slower than molasses in winter.
Haye's only chance against Wlad would be to stand and fight like a man and hope he landed first yet he certainly doesn't have the balls for that if he wont trade punches with an opponent with zero knockout power.
When does Wlad ever trade anymore? All he does is what Haye said Jab, Jab, Jab, Jab, Hold, Jab, Jab, Jab, Jab and when his opponent is hurt he's still afraid to throw the right hand.
The Klit fans want him to stand their like a plonker and get hit like the rest of the HW division that plays into the Klitschkos hands. They don't want to see boxers do anything different because the robot brothers are not set up for it and might need some new firmware.
