Ahhhhhhh Paulie Paulie Paulie......
This guy amazes me. His brash loud mouth "Not only will I outbox u, but I'll outtalk you at the same time." Is one I've always liked. Without any power whatsoever, I appreciate his in ring ability soo much more. Lets face it, when u fight a boxer, who knows that he has nothing to worry about in the sense of being KOed, it's a pretty tall task to beat him. Paulie has been able to use this against his opponents. They continue to come in, and he simply counters and uses his legs, winning fights with great ring generalship and pure boxing ability. His win over Diaz does one thing for him IMO, it keeps him around and in the talk to solid fights. Diaz is a fighter who lost a lot more then just a fight when Marquez brutally knocked him out in there fight. When Nate Campbell turned the clock back and convincingly beat Diaz to the punch cut him and hurt him numerous times, he lost more then just a fight. When Paulie boxed his ears off the 1st fight, and now for a second straight time, he's gone from "Golden Boy" to fringe contender.
Soo how does Paulie beat this guy, and come out even mentioning JMM or Ricky Hatton. Explain that one to me? Paulie by winning this fight against a guy like Diaz did nothing more for himself then keep his NAME in the disscussion. Now way he gets a fight with Marquez, and he has ZERO chance of winning if he does. Name a fighter @ the top of 140 Paulie could beat? I like him, but I always realize how by only being able to win a fight one way, he doesn't pose much of a threat.
Anyone see a fight he can win?!?!
Only fight I even wanna see Paulie go for is Amir Khan. Prove u can beat a real hungry young fighter and maybe call someone else out. Any takers on Khan vs. Paulie?!?!
Bradley vs. Malignaggi....Does Paulie have a chance?!?!
Where does he go? And after the beatdown he took from Hatton, lets be real noone wants to see them fight again.....

i agree. paulie is calling out the big names....he won't get them. he needs to try and get bradley, khan, ortiz, etc...
I think Bradley would just dominate Paulie, but @ the same time I dont see too many other fighters giving Bradleya real test as is. Khan and Alexander would be very good fights I think. Idk if Malignaggi would win either of these, but I think he would have a chance. I think with Alexander's style, he could give him some problems, Devon is a bigger, faster and more talented version of Diaz. He throws lots of punches, and continues to stalk his foe. He also possess an exceptional jab.One thing I ike about him is he comes in with a gameplan, and always seems to stick to it. He doesnt shy away from contact and fades away from his jab. A lot of young fighters tend to start of using there jab and that fades once they land a few combinations. Devon is seemingly intent on staying to his gameplan. Which is also a complement to his trainer Kevin Cunningham for continuing to keep his fighter focused. WhoI might add I am a HUGEEE fan of.
Khan I jus still dont think is the next Great thing just yet. Ok his destruction of Salita was solid, but Salita to me was an overhyped fighter. Salita looked horendous to me in his fight vs Derrick Campos on the Calzaghe vs Jones undercard in 08. I think Salita is a very limited fighter with a paded record an Khan did exactly what he SHOULD have done. Paulie to me would have a decent shot against Khan. I think he can frustrate Khan by drawing him in and then being no where to be found, only problem is sometimes Paulie heart is bigger then his braids and he tries to stay in the pocket and exchange.
And dont be a fool either and say Khan stop Malignaggi, be serious and stop hugging Khan's balls. When has Paulie ever seriously been hurt? The beating he took against Cotto was extradionary for him to say he went 12 hard rounds fighting the entire time. And Hatton fight was stopped by McGirt and Paulie should have easily been given the benefit and let him finish the fight, if Mcgirt let him fight in the 7th and 8th then y stop i when he did, that was a joke. Khan would NEVER KO this guy soo enough with that foolish talk.....
Paulie's a pure boxer, no power but has speed, skill and a granite chin... but I think Khan and Bradley will punish him. Khan will fight on the outside, use his jab and speed to get in combos and he would get on the inside an punish Paulie (Paulie can't stop Khan). Referee stops it after 8.
Bradley punishes him over 12 rounds, UD
U guys r assholes he didn't only call out hatton marquez he also mentioned devon ortiz peterson and bradley ! Somthing no other fighters do ..and freddy how does he dress like a fairy? Lol
I really hate how almost everyone in the 140 pound division wants to fight Marquez or Hatton, because they're washed up and feel like they are an easy target...I find it to be a pussy move...go after the new comers...
Paulies the man he made my weekend here in chicago with that great win but agaisnt a marquez or hatton I dnt think he wins not even sure ab kahn I think he should fight judah for a bk shodown @ the garden
Absolutely.Paulie uses his mouth to talk a big game and gets himself into these fights. I'm just saying that after beating Juan Diaz, he's looking in the wrong direction. BEating Diaz DOES NOT warrant a fight with JMM. And don't get me wrong of course he wants to get revenge on Hatton. But from a standpoint of getting any of those fights, he needs as better win than that of which he worked hard for by beating Diaz. He fights Khan and beats him, he will have more of a bargaining tool to attempt to land a big fight. He mentioned Devon Alexander as well, beating a young undefeated title holder also gives him a legitimate win, and has ppl talking about bigger fights.
Im just saying that a win over Diaz gives him nothing other than a WIN he needed, now he needs to realize what this win did for him. And it DEF does not warrant a fight with the best 140 has to offer, YET anyway........Do u agree?!?!
I'm don't take Paulie serious when he says he can beat JMM. I think at this point he can PROBABLY beat Hatton. I think he's trying to talk his way to some decent pay days. Remember, there was a point in his career when he complained in every interview about not being able to get a fight/date. So now, he's trying to keep himself around and get paid while he can.

Well, love him or hate him it was his big and often brash mouth that landed him these quality opponents (i.e. Hatton Diaz etc.) So why not use it for calling out Bradley, JMM and Khan? It’s obvious the man has skill, it can only be measured by fighting quality opposition so let Paulie do his thing it has worked thus far.
Peace.
