Should Khan Fight Malignaggi Or Bradley Next?
Frank Warren contacted WBO over a fight between Bradley & Khan.
Personally I want Khan to fight Maidana which I hope happens.
he probably beats malignaggi and i gurantee thats the fight gets made, bradley is to risky for him and i think bradley would spark khan out..hes not a big puncher but he has alot of pop and his right hand is fast.
Bradley is too experienced for Khan.
Although Bradley doesn't have many KOs, i do think he has enough pop to get Khans attention, especially with his right hand.
from what I remember he got Peterson's attention a few times last night.
Would love to see Bradley take on Khan. Bradley would be a great test for Khan.
If Khan going to fight Bradley tho, I give this to Khan, Bradley is not that hard of a puncher to gives Khan's chin any trouble :D
Ill say the same for a paulie bout.
This is how it's more than likely gonna play out
Spring we will see Juan Manuel Marquez vs Ricky Hatton & Ahmir Khan vs Paulie Malignaggi. Marquez vs Hatton makes sense because both want a huge fight next, both are GBP fighters, and both have stated they want to fight each other.
Paulie vs Khan makes sense because he is a top guy at 140, is feather fisted, and the brits are familiar with him due to his fight against Hatton. Also he serves as a measuring stick, since Paulie and Hatton fought not too long ago.
If both Hatton and Khan win, then that fight will happen because it will be a huge megafight in England. If Marquez wins, I really can't see any other big money fights (like he wants) outside of Pacquaio. Problem is if Pac wins he will fight Mosley. If pac loses, since Floyd is all about money, more than likely a rematch (between FM & Pac) will occur. So Manny vs Marquez wont happen until atleast 2011, if ever.
Khan wont fight Paulie. I think Bradley v Khan will happen.
He does seem to be avoiding Maidana, fighting Bradley would be non-sensical. Bradley is much more of a risk than Maidana is, Paulie is a winnable fight, not too much power and he'd give Khan space to work- Bradley would swarm him and have him shook the entire fight while it lasted. For real, Bradley is the goods, he is gonna be more than anyone expects every time someone steps in the ring with him. He is either gonna have to have an off night or get ripped off to lose, otherwise he is gonna beat everyone in the ring against him.
Bradley/Khan would make for an exciting match, but Bradley may be too experienced for Khan at this point. Also, though Bradley isn't a known hitter, when he sits on his punches can actually cause a bit of pop with them. Mix that with his speed and his swarming in with combinations style, could cause Khan all-sorts of problems. I do like Khan's improvements under Roach however.
Best big-name option at the moment for Khan would be Malignaggi in my opinion. Very beatable, more known in the UK.....a great leap onto the big stage that would be.
If I was Khan's handlers, Id go after Paulie next. Compared to Maidana Theres not much of a threat as far as punching power is concerned. If he gets past Paulie it will garner him enough American exposure to set up a fight with Bradly.
From a strategical point of view though, his handlers shouldn't rush him, the kid is still 23. These next few years may be crucial to his confidence & development. Not only that, but it takes time to breed and market a fighter to the consciousness of the general American public. They shouldn't make the same mistake as GBP has done with promoting potential stars.
As a fan Id prefer Bradley, but another loss would hurt his career(although it shouldnt) and there is a possibility Tim gets him. Paulie is a good fighter with a name who Amir could beat pretty easily.
I think he should go for Paulie. I think it would be interesting to see how he handles a fighter with movement, speed and overall ring generalship.
Peace.
khan versus malignaggi. Its a "safer" fight, malignaggi being a featherfisted fighter. 2nd, Malignaggi won't be able to clown around, or do his usual stick and run with Khan. Plus a more known name with the Brits.
Bradley is too experienced for Khan.
Although Bradley doesn't have many KOs, i do think he has enough pop to get Khans attention, especially with his right hand.
well if the fight was here in the UK, better off with malinaggi since he boxed hatton and people will have heard of him (bradley obviously boxed junior witter, but no one here likes junior witter, so it doesnt really matter). I think khan could beat either of them to be honest, i think maidana would give him more trouble due to the power (which i think we all know that warren will try and avoid if poss)
