Roach told ESPN.com that he was approached by heavyweight titlist David Haye and his manager/trainer Adam Booth to train him for his mandatory defense against John Ruiz, which is supposed to take place in London in March or April. When Roach was in England working with junior welterweight titlist Amir Khan for his first-round knockout of Dmitriy Salita last week, Roach said he spoke with Haye and Booth. "Adam asked me if I would help them out and I also spoke to David," Roach said. "I think David is what the heavyweight division needs and I like what I see. I would love to work with him, so we will see what we can do." The timing may be a problem, however. Roach is committed to training Pacquiao for the Mayweather fight and plans to do the first month of their camp in the Philippines before finishing up in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
No, he means the guy that quit against Byrd and lost to Lewis.
Yeah, lost to Lewis due only to a cut that caused the ring doctor to stop the fight against his wishes, and Lewis retired in fear of losing to him...
For those of you with a distorted view of history, or those who never saw the fight, here is a respected independent review:

If it will happen, pound for pound king will be turn over to heavy weight thats after manny retires
how many fighters does he train?
pac
khan rigendoux
bernabe concepcion?
+ he trains that mma dude arlovski too, im not sure if he still trains him now tho.
Quitali? You mean the guy who forced the retirement of Lennox Lewis?
LL was on his way out anyways... after Tyson, there was really nothing that could motivate LL.
Yikes. I dont really like Haye, but I don't see how I could *not* root for one of Freddie's guys.
If he gets Roach, a showdown with Vitali would be the SHIT.
I dont like Roach very much but I cant deny his skills as a trainer.
This would be fantastic for Haye and would give him a realistic chance against Quitali and Glass-Wlad.

if roach doesn't get paid, then he's not a part of the corner.
i dont think roach is a generous enough guy to let porter use his gym, spar his fighters, get advice without charging anything.
from what i know Roach is an 'adviser' to porter, he works out a gameplan with porters dad and takes him on the pads once in a while.

i think porter's dad is working his corner...

a ever growing number it seems. he works with alot of people too. i know that Shawn Porter has been working out of the Wild Card and i think he maybe for his upcoming fight.
Im sure he isnt the only one either.
